Timandlesley's The Sum of Our Thrills TR w/ tons of pics&video 9/27 PTR link pg.58

Great update Lesley! That's too bad about the service, but we have found that when we have gone. It's like they know they're guaranteed the tip so why work for it:confused3 Glad you enjoyed the food:goodvibes

You always make the best of a bad situation....raining, go back with great friends and relax....love it:banana:

Looking forward to the next update

Lesley, that tribute to Tim is BEAUTIFUL!!
I truly hope you guys will continue on down
the avenue of happiness and everlasting love:lovestruc
I'm still crying!!1:sad1:

Enjoyed the update Lesley!!! Lauren is so cute!!! I just loved the pics at 'Ohana, she looked like she was having an absolute blast!!! :goodvibes

Bummer about the service and the rain, but in true Lesley and Co style you all clearly made the best of it! Seems like you had fun just hanging out and enjoy eachother's company!!! Whether that was on Main Street or in the resort room, good times and good friends seemed to be at hand! :goodvibes

'Ohanas we have only been to once, but I agree with you the pot stickers and the noodles and wings are awesome! It is a nice family place.

Looking forward to your next post.

Happy Anniversary, too. :)

I am typically a lurker but had to say how much I enjoy your reports. Your family really seems to enjoy each other! I think your kids will be like mine and NOT lose the magic of Disney even when they're teenagers. All teenager cynicism and attitude disappears when we go under that wonderful archway and enter The World.

What a fun night at Ohana...your family all looks Gorgeous!! Bummer about the rain...last time we were at Ohana we scheduled a family photo shoot beforehand and it got rained out :(....just love Lauren...she cracks me up...can't wait to see what Father's Day has in store!!

Great update Leslie! Love that you have such great friends to share the Disney magic with. It really stinks when rain ruins your plans. Can't wait for more.

Ohana really is fun, especially when the kids participate! At eleven I think this was Baylor's last time to get up, for the hula anyway:laughing:.

We do enjoy the food though, I'm with you on the potstickers and the shrimp and have to remember to save room for the end!

Booo to the poor service, shame on them!

Day 4 The Finale
On this night we had a reservation for OHana’s and we were excited to get our eat on. The plan was to head over to Magic Kingdom after dinner so that we could see the parade and fireworks together.

Our server was really really bad. She would never check in on us, rarely refilled drinks and only after we asked several times. We were at a HUGE table and they would only bring one thing in the middle so no one could reach. I asked the guy who brought the sauce out for another and he said no problem and then disappeared forever. We all felt that they looked at us and knew we were a party of 8 and they were assured an 18% tip and that was not cool. Diane saw others being offered the warm hand towels and we never were and when she asked our server she seemed totally put out about having to get them. When they DID come out they were BURNING hot, so of course then the jokes started like :”you want some hot towels, I’ll give you some HOT TOWELS you SOB’s!!! “ : ) We had to laugh right.
The food was delicious as always and we had fun digging in:CONTINUED IN NEXT POST

I hate to hear that the service was bad. We are eating at Ohana's with 9 on our anniversary on the 29th.

When I think back though when we ate at Ohana's two summers ago, we had 13 the service was nothing to write home about but I don't remember it being bad.

Sorry you had a crabby server.

Congratulations on your 12th anniversary, your blog said it all.

I remember that thunder storm DH and I were in the Mexican pavilion when it started, and ended up just finding a place on the floor in the museum part to wait it out.

The size of your group may not have mattered, we went to 'OHana's one night and the girl was very slow. Plus we had to ask for the hot towels, before receiving them, and their was only two of us. Yet I can't wait to go back because the food was wonderful, and we had a perfect view of the castle.

I LOVE OHana! :lovestruc But YUCK for bad service!! :headache:

How funny is Luke?!?! :rotfl2: His face in the background of some of those pictures is hysterical. The kids are all adorable and look like they're having a great time. :thumbsup2

Ugh, there is never any excuse for bad service!!! :sad2:

Love the pictures of the kids up and dancing. They look like they had a great time!

Happy Anniversary!!!

You all look so nice dressed up.

Loved the pics of Luke and Laurent dancing....too cute :goodvibes

Glad you made the best of the rain and still had a fun night

Happy Anniversary :lovestruc

Happy Anniversary and Congratulations, Lesley and Tim. A good marriage is hard work and good times, and you obviously put in the work to have the good times! :dance3:

Wonderful update! I am sorry your server was crap, at least that didn't ruin your fun and it sounds like dinner was still delicious! Ohana is on our list for our next trip! We LOVE the Poly and ate at Kona this past trip and got to soak in all the beauty at the Poly! Great family pictures too, the kids look like they are having a blast like always!! LOVE the picture of Lauren with Mary Poppins and Bert too!!:goodvibes

Great update! I really want to try dinner at Ohana on our next trip!

Congratulations on your anniversary; enjoy your trip!
Thanks! We leave Saturday!
I just read your Anniversary tribute and yes, I cried. It is beautiful! You can see in your pictures how much your family loves one another, which really stems from what they see and feel in you and Tim, and then ultimately, in the Lord.

I just love your trip reports not only because you write them so well but also because you can feel the love and excitement your family has.
My husband and I are celebrating our 7th Anniversary with our 4 year old daughter, in Disney in September.

Congratulations on your 12th Anniversary, it truly is somewthing to be proud of! :woohoo::yay::lovestruc
Wow, didn't mean to make you cry but glad you enjoyed it. Your anniversary sounds great, enjoy!

Again, this is so much fun, I can just feel the happiness.
Disney can do it for ya!! Sorry about the rain, Florida
can produce some mighty severe storms but it never
takes away the magic!!!:dance3:
Thanks, glad the happiness comes through. you're right about the rain.

Me too, glad you are enjoying things.
Looks like the kids had a lot of fun at O'hana's.
Sleeping in sounds perfect
Sleeping in WAS perfect, wait and see : )

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the blog. Yes, it was quite a storm. You know, we had less than stellar service last year to and it was just the 4 of us, oh well, food makes it worth it.

I LOVE OHana! But YUCK for bad service!!

How funny is Luke?!?! :rotfl2: His face in the background of some of those pictures is hysterical. The kids are all adorable and look like they're having a great time.
Glad Luke makes you laugh too. We did have a great time!

Despite not getting to MK and having cruddy service at Ohana, it does sound like a very fun evening with your friends! Looks like the kids had a blast dancing, Ohana is so fun and TASTY!

Aw, what a great shot! :goodvibes

We took advantage of having cars and all piled into Diane and Bryan’s minivan as a crew and also took advantage of their Tables and Wonderland Card with the free valet service, NICE!
:cool1: I just love that feature!

Our server was really really bad. She would never check in on us, rarely refilled drinks and only after we asked several times. We were at a HUGE table and they would only bring one thing in the middle so no one could reach. THIS is what drives me nuts at 'Ohana... you never know what you're going to get. I've had a meal just like yours, and then I recently had one that was among the best ever. How hard is it to be consistent?! :confused3

Well, the meal was over and the skies had OPENED up the past hour, it was one of those major storms with thunder, lightning and constant downpouring rains that you know are just not going to stop.
Sigh. I so know how that goes. :sad2:

Have a wonderful anniversary! party:
