That was mean. SHe didn't imply long term damage to her child, just that he felt hurt at the time. A 20 month old boy shouldn't be deliberatley skipped by a character at Disney -- Tha is sad! I feel bad for the mom and the child, and don't understand why you had to post a mean comment.

They waited a few days, and were still on vacation when they filed a complaint. I'm not saying who is guilty -- I wasn't there so I don't know, but here's my take....

It troubled me, too, that the mom didin't react on the spot, but I can see how it can happen. When something like this happens and it is COMPLETELY unexpected, the vicitm would be shocled an confused and even self-doubting. The thoughts would likely be something like this, "Wow. That made me VERY uncomfortable, could this be happening? Am I crazy? Surely Tigger didn't just fondle me..." And she's on vaction, doesn't want to make a big scene in front of her family....come to hear her daughter is upset and the same thing happened to her...now the inner-debate of whether or not to complain. They are on vacation, etc....

So in thinking about it, I could see where someone *might* take a few days to decide to complain.

And then, if you read the charging affidavit published in The Sentil, there was some weird details regarding Tigger. He laimed Dyslexia causes him to have trouble remembering events, past and present (huh?), and he presented the police with SEVERAL envelopes of photos, after admitting that he has somone take photos of him while he's in character. It was after seeing the photos that the police arrested him! Hmmm....And he was a "fairly new" employee. That all sounds pretty suspicious to me.

This reminds me of something that happend to me roomate and I while eating at a character breakfast a few years back in WDW, when we were both about 22. Goofy kept coming to our table and hugging us, and playing with our hair. Each time would we say, "oh no here comes Goofy". He just didn't leave us alone and it was very uncomfortable- we couldn't wait to leave. At the time we never said anything thinking maybe he was just being friendly, after all its Disney World. But to this day I can't see Goofy in WDW without thinking about that day. I see him and I think, 'yuck" and thats too bad :(

That fact he had someone in the park taking those fotos to me implies his acts were premeditated, not just some random moment of weakness. We all know about Flash Mountain, maybe there is some other perverted site with fotos of charactors molesting kids. Very scary.

Most WDW Entertainment performers ask to have pictures of themselves performing taken. It is a very common practice.

Sometimes people like to flash body parts when posing for the photos taken at Splash Mountain (and other rides). These photos are pulled and not shown to the public, but some make their way to a site called Flash Mountain.

I happened to be on Snopes.com not checking anything in particular but killing time one day. I clicked on the Disney icon you can click on the tag line for flash mountain. I just thought it was a big hoax. Surprise it is NOT!!! The thing is it is the visitiors who are flashing BUT someone from Disney is the one supplying the photos. Why do people feel the need to pervert or destroy anything nice or fun. It kind of upsets me to think of what other perverted things are going on at "The happiest place on Earth".
Yes I know that a background check is not always possible BUT the fact that many people do not know this could be deterrent enough.

Thanks for your input here SnoWhiteRabbit. That was one of the rudest things I ever had anyone say to me here on the DIS boards. I beleive it was clear to most people that I wasn't trying to act like my son would be scarred for life because Tigger skipped us and flirted with two girls instead. My point was that the the inccident was very tasteless and uncalled for on the part of the CM playing Tigger. The incident still sticks out in my mind and yes it does make me mad. Is my DS traumatized for life beacause of this...no, but I don't think I ever said he was in the first place.

Thank you for posting this, Samirella. I think I lot of us (myself included) thought it unusual at first. However, I can understand peformers/characters wanting some photos to bring back fond memories in their "golden years". I, at first, thought that the photos would somehow "imply" guilt, thinking it "odd" that the character would have photos taken of him with guests.

Truly, I don't know what to think about his guilt or innocence from the article. It could, I suppose, be partly attributed to the limited visibility of the costumes.

Just bumping this up since Tigger was found Not Guilty.

It appears that some of you whose posts are in this thread have the same beliefs. A person is GUILTY until he proves himself innocent. Maybe someday you will be in Tiggers shoes.

You do know it is the other way around, but unfortunately not in our "in your face media" society.
