TigerCheer2009's Lose 30 and Not Gain It Back Plan! (Add comments please!! Welcome!)

HI Mike!! It was very hot as there is no AC in the practice area...all the windows and fire escape doors were opened.

Cheerleading camp was fun. I was DRENCHED in sweat, head to toe. We are going to enter competition at the summer festival (Good Ol' Summertime/GOS) and we learned the intro to our dance (the music: Music Makes Me Lose Control). Now try to keep up here: We do a ripple motion, do a touchdown and jump (arms like air traffic controllers, by the ears in blades/straight hands), then we hop to both sides and do this arm motion...there's a whole lot more that would probably utterly confuse you. We learned our cheer, and 1/2 of our really super hard but cool looking dance. We also had to do the stretches, plus a cooldown of gravity splits that hurt, cheerleading situps, ab-balancers, hip flexors, kicks, pushups,:scared:. Did I mention our instructor is pregnant? Seven months yesterday. She's not doing jumps or stretches or anything...just showing us what to do. Today we finish the dance and learn more cheers.

I am also taking part in the library scavenger hunt today...for summer reading, we are required to fill out a reading log and do events. Therefore, we are doing a scavenger hunt with all of the program sponsors in town. Fun!!

I also finish my 100-day challenge today!!!!! I can now enjoy McyD burgers and fries, juices, and chips/candy! But only if I really want them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Breakfast: 2 cups cereal, apple (5)
L: something light and very soon as I will be running around town.
D: ???
S: if Shelly (coach for real, not the pregnant one, that's Tracey!) brings fruit n veggies again then you can bet I will be chowing down on those!
Water: a little...actual: 0...I'm working on it!
Exercise: 3 minutes of yoga, mainly positions and nothing strenuous. I should practice my gravity splits...they hurt like heck but I need them...and my cheerleading situps.
TOM is gone! Yay!
Bye...off to munch and exercise.
hi ya Jen...yay for you!!! you finished your 100 day challenge that's AWESOME!!! you know (or maybe you don't) i've given up fast food, red meat and pop/coffee for good...i think this is the healthiest i've ever eaten in my life!!! LOL :cool1:
I hope your cheerleading camp continues to go well...and you are getting so close to your weight goal I'M ROOTING FOR YOU...just keep SWIMMING :fish:!!!! :)
hugs to you, have a SUPER day!
jen
JEN! I'm sorry I haven't been to your journal lately, life gets in the way of DISing. My grandpa hasn't been well and we think he's going even farther down the hill.
You are one dedicated chick, you know that? I have a feeling that Ms. Mary has deserted us (mking628)...if so, would you like to be my WISHsis? Mike, if you want to, you can be my WISHbro :) I can always use more WISHfamily!!! You are doing so well, TOJ! I'm proud of you so much...::yes:: Keep up the good work.
Ah, um, yeah...about the weight loss goal...it's a little farther away than I planned. I was 180 at my last WI (cue the theatric thunder and dun-dun-dun) I want to be at least 178 by the beginning of school (Aug 23). I can do this!
You have an awesome day too, TOJ! Hugggggggz!
Hi Tiger! I wanted to come over and visit your journal and I have to say - I am exhausted reading about your schedule!!! How do you do it??? You have brought back fond memories of my HS pom pon days though....ah youth... :teeth:
Congratulations on your 100 days!! You really seem like you're doing great! I'd like to add my endorsement to controlling (not cutting out) carbs - as long as you keep up with the healthy vegetables and fruits and limit the high fats you can really be happy and healthy. I believe though that the key is finding something you are happy and successful with and you really seem like what you're doing is working!
Again - congrats on 100 days!! And thank you for all the support you give me :flower:
Jenn (with 2 n's! :teeth: )
Congratulations, Jen! You made your 100 days!!!!! Well, you are so generous sharing your :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: , that we get to cheer for you now!!!
You know, though, that you have done so well that you inspired me to start a 100 day cheat free challenge for myself. I posted an invitation on the WISH general board and even told everyone you inspired me. So, you want to join us there and provide inspiration? Just think, it doesn't have to be giving up anything in particular, but more just sticking to a plan to be healthier. Just think, if you did another 100 days, that would take you up to mid-October or so, just in time to be in great shape for basketball cheer season. :sunny:
Congrats, sweetie! Keep up the great work. You really want to be fit enough to make the most of this time of your life. I am so happy for you and so proud of the efforts you make every day. Thanks for all the happy vibes you bring to the WISH family!
P.S. So sorry to hear your Grandpa isn't doing well. I will be thinking of all of you. Sending :grouphug:
Congrats on the 100 days cheat free!!! What an accomplishment, you should be very proud of yourself! Maybe I should join the challenge. Here I am, all proud of myself for having 1 cheat free day... :blush:
You're doing great, keep up with all your exercise and save those treats for really special occasions so you don't blow all your hard work!! You've come so far and you have the motivation to stay on the right path. Thanks for being such an inspiration for me!!
Hello Double-N Jenn! Welcome to my journal. Sit down in your nice comfy jammy pants, grab a bottle of water, sit back and enjoy!
You asked: How do I do it? It gets even worse when school starts. I wake up really late (8:00 at the latest) then mope around for a little while...DIS, dress, toilette (routine), breakfast. I go to the library on my bike or walk (sneak in that exercise) around 9:00 (volunteer days I stay till 11, go home for lunch, back at 12:30 for the second program or I pack my lunch), regular days=leave library at 10, lunch, mope some more (exercise usually, there is actually lots of down time in the afternoons...the evenings are packed!!! :flower: ) dinner, choir/cheerleading which makes me miss CSI! at 6 (7 on Sundays), shower, bed. Not actually that bad...all the evenings are filled up though.
Thanks, you're welcome, and stick around! We're not even into cheerleading season yet! That's when the fun begins (hopefully... :teeth: )
Hi Cam! Thanks! I love being cheered for. And also complimented! You all make my day...every day! (How are those exercises working out for you?) Really? I did that? WHOA. That's AWESOME! Thanks...I just joined and am willing to share my secrets, tips and hear some back! Perfect timing, Cam! Thank you! :hug: Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you! :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: Claps for Cam! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx! (x's are claps in cheer world)
AmyT- One cheat free day! That's great! That's nothing to be ashamed of...there were some times that said "Hey, there's juice/danger food right there. None of your WISH friends will see it...call it Fruit Soda! Yeah, that'll work!" But something else said "You've got x days left. Do you really wanna start over again? Plus, also you will have to report it." You can do it Amy! Let's get it done...TOGETHER! (theatrical bow to you...) Claps for Amy! (In cheerleader world=x's are claps) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx! One day is not small potatoes, it's the first step to a new way of living!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The scavenger hunt was fun, but way too easy. There were 4 of us...a guy teen library page (D), his friend (K), this little yappy kid jazzed on KitKats and Pepsi (Brat), and me. The Teen Leaders scrambled the names of businesses and we had to unscramble and find them. I got done unscrambling first, fast walked to the farthest places so I wouldn't have to do them on the way back, then met up w/ Brat at the bank and he followed me to three other places, then left to get the far places. On the way to the "Salon", D and K tried (but failed, all in fun) to steal my Tip Sheet...they also walked right past the salon! Duh...it wasn't really advertised well either. But I won and I got a slip for a free pizza at the Pizza Shop downtown! YAY! I got a record I think of 7 minutes...could be 15 though...I don't know.

L: 2 bowls of taco meat w/ shredded cheese, and 2 16.9 oz bottles of water. (4)
S: I need to keep my strength up for cheer camp, so I will pack fruity snackies just in case we have no nibble trays.
D: will be at 5:00...any ideas? Anybody? I don't want to use my free pizza coupon yet. Besides, it's for either eat in or pick up...neither of which I'd like to do.

Exercise: 15 minute walk around businesses, 10 minute walk home, 1 minute of yoga stretching

Must update my ticker now! Adieu!

TOJ aka Ms. Swimmer to you aka GATOR'S GIRL ;)

Jen, congrats on 100 cheat free days! You're doing great! Those cheerleading camp workouts are tough. :Pinkbounc I'm worn out just reading about it.

MSTOJ! (ms. swimmer toj!) Thanks! Anybody else (cough cough *anybody*)can jump on board too! I'd love having lots of WISHsibs!

A WISHsib (brother or sister): all they get is a special title...you post in their journal a lot, care...anybody can do it! You can super-nuclear-pinch if you have to...and you also give them a swift kick in the rear end when needed.

Thanks, MS.TOJ!

Jane-Thanks! It is really tough...I'm super duper tired, but it's the last day...I can take it. It's a lot of work. We have to learn the dance, and cheers, and other stuff. I appreciate the kind words!

Must run as it is storming and cheercamp starts in 30 min.

WAIT! Dinner: turkey n swiss sammie (3), luxe dessert of strawberries in vanilla pudding (3)...YUMMMMMMMM!

Taking my water...have a great day, all my lovely WISH "losers"! (not in the loser-derogatory way...weight/loser=get it?)

Hiya Tiger!

Congrats on making your 100 day cheat free challenge! Super, fabu, great job!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

I mostly enjoyed cheer camp back in HS. Of course, ours was a 1 week sleep-away camp and you had to get up at 5:30 am because you had to have your hair and make-up ready for breakfast at 7:00 and then you cheered and danced and sweated your butt off all day in 95+ heat and then had to play goofy games in the evenings before you went to bed at 11:00 pm only to get up the next day and do it all over. :earseek: Now I'm starting to wonder why I enjoyed cheer camp.

Anyway, have fun! :cheer2:

I'm back! And you've been busy while I was gone!

Alive sounds like it was totally wonderful.

I bought myself a 'prize' while I was gone. TALKING DORY!! Our Dis store never puts anything on sale and I just couldn't bring myself to pay $20 for one, but I played with them every time I went to the mall. When out shopping for bras & panties for Bride-zilla, I had to go into their Dis Store cuz it was huge and they had them for $6.99!! I bought mine and one for DSis.

To make your flavors stick to the popcorn buy a mister bottle and spray a tiny bit of water on it then put the flavor in a ziplock bag and shake. Voila - no butter points!

I think Shauna is right about Atkins. My Cardio in KS said DO NOT do Atkins under any conditions. DH had a guy he worked with who did it for over a year. The first 4 - 6 months things were wonderful, lost weight, controlled BP and Cholesterol, then things slowly wacked out. He ended up with permanent damage.

I'm slowly getting back into the routine. It's taking forever to read everyone's journals all the way back to where I was, but it is SO good!

Take care and have fun at Cheer Camp.

I'll be your wish sis anytime you need me!

Missed you!

Hi Jen!

Just wanted to say great job on that Scavenger Hunt today!!!
Sounds like it was fun!

Hope you had a great night at cheer camp!
Mike :goodvibes

Hey loser! :earboy2:

Have an awesome time at cheer camp! Keep it up with eating/moving, and soon we will be HOT HOT HOT! (Not that we aren't already ;) )

Have an awesome night! :goodvibes

Hi Shauna...it was very rough tonight. I did improve my jumps though. Really really tired.

Jules: You got a TALKING DORY?!?!?!?! I want one...good idea for the popcorn thing. ALIVE was awesome...thanks! You all can be my WISHsibs.

**Sadly, I am not a Crimson Crush anymore...I am a Golden Star Wisher...:sad:**

Mike: it was AWESOME! Thanks...are you up for being a WISHbro?

Hey loser :p Twinks! But of course...you too!

Hi Jen!

So, you're in the midst of cheerleading camp, huh? I don't remember if I told you or not, but I cheered for football all 4 years of high school and basketball my freshman year too. :cheer2: My favorite years cheering were junior and senior year because we cheered Varsity Football. I just loved Friday night games under the stadium lights! :cheer2: I also remember the grueling days of cheerleading camp. We went to the AmeriCheer camp for 3 years and UCA (I think that's what it was called.) for 1 year. I remember trying to get out of bed the morning after our first day of camp and falling on to the floor in pain everytime. Whew! Plenty of sore muscles and fatigue during those weeks! :scared: :faint:

Did I see that you completed your 100 Day Challenge???? Congratulations!!! That is a-w-e-s-o-m-e; awesome, awesome xx totally! :cheer2: (One of our cheers in high school. :teeth: )

What are you doing for your Mickey gifts for your trip to WDW? Are you presenting them in boxes, bags, giving the gifts out daily? I've done Mickey gifts our last three trips and would love to hear some new ideas! :idea:

Hope you have a great day Jen! :flower:

Hey Jen!

I am definitely up for being a WISHsib! Do we get a secret club house and codewords??? :goodvibes I hope that you are having a great day so far!!!

I do have one question I think you can answer for me or point me in the right direction.... what the heck is the WPASADI??? I have seen it in a few sigs and all I have figured out it is Survivor like somehow and involves teams... I am very curious! hehe :flower:

Ok, a few more journals and then it is time to do some actual work!!!
Have a super morning!
Mike :sunny:

Hi Tracy! Really? You cheered? Awesome! We did a home-camp because we have a competition in two weeks, plus we didn't have a coach till late June. My muscles HURT like heck, but I did learn something I didn't know about me: I'm afraid to fall when I jump. The worst thing that could happen is that I could fall and hurt myself. But the jumps are progressively getting better...it could be the weight loss too! ;) And yes you did see...awesome cheer btw.

For Mickey gifts, I can't wrap them because we're flying and I don't want them to know what the gifts are just yet...I'm going to make gift bags that they can put out (this is for an 11 year old, two adults and myself!) every night and I will put the presents in in the AM very early! Nobody in my family really gets up that early...except me.

Thanks for coming by...us December DISers are planning a get together...here's the link. Stop by and chat...oh and start from the very beginning.

Morning, Mike! If you really want a secret clubhouse and codewords, I guess we can have them...WPASADI (Wickedly Perfect Amazing Surviving Apprentice DIS Idol) is like Survivor...we have creative writing challenges that we have to complete. Whoever does the best "wins" that round...the losers do immunity (an individual challenge, like rewriting words to a song but harder). One person from every team gets KO'ed, I do believe. Team work is a major factor.

Have an awesome day and thanks for popping in!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I volunteered this morning with the little littlies...babies and tots. Lots of fun...the theme was Queens and kings.
B: 2 cups cereal (4), pudding and berries (3)
S: 2 small whole Queen's Tarts for the Little Hearts (4)
*for my 100 day challenge I'm only having 2 snacks a day...that was one of them!**
Exercise: walk to the library. 10 minutes each way.
my plan for today:
:3dglasses babysitting bag-fill it
:3dglasses prep for giving Claire the 2wks notice (she's the client mom...I feel bad, but with my family the way it is right now it's very hard...and I'm involved this year very much so! I can only do sporadic jobs and dog sitting.)
:3dglasses someone make me memorize my clarinet music! All I have left to do is the hard song...and 2 weeks left!
Awesome day...have one!
Hi Jen!
Thanks for the explanation, sounds like a lot of fun! I will have to look more closely at it!
I swear you do more than anyone else I know! That is awesome! Keep up all that activity and those 30lbs will be gone forever & ever!!!
Oh, and I guess have fun at the December DIS meet... I am boycotting all of you lucky folk! :guilty: :guilty: :guilty:
Hahahahaha!
Have a good day!
Mike
Oh...one of my old teammates PMed me and they made a clippie just for me! They are so sweet...j&n's mom, MsLeFever and of course my "twin" Kendra-kendra!
