TigerCheer2009's Lose 30 and Not Gain It Back Plan! (Add comments please!! Welcome!)

Oopsie. I'm not down 5. I'm up five! My bad! Sorry. An-y-way, it's not hot! Actually it's been unseasonably cold! Maybe it's not enough fiber. Well, I know what I'm having for breakfast tomorrow! (Something with fiber in it, will have to scout around). About the bloat-It can?!?!? Really? Something new was learned today!

FYI, I measure from my bellybutton! My abdomen! Thanks!

Jen with one N-I'm lovin Holiday World by the way!

Yep the bloat can begin mid month. When I was having panic attacks that were hormone related, they had me start taking meds at day 14 - Just B6(or was it 12), Tylenol and Pamabron ( a diuretic). It helped.

Anyway, you sound like me. My weight can fluctuate as much as TEN pounds overnight. Used to drive me NUTS!! Still does, and DD is showing the same tendencies. Poor Kid!

that award I got? I got a write up in the paper, They quoted me and everything! My picture was in there...in COLOR and I look pretty dang awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My shirt looked good on me, I felt like :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: and that boosted me up! I may be in a weight loss valley, but I'm on the top of Self-Esteem Summit.

In the words of the Bologna Kids (either mine or Twinks' journal about the BKids) "You made my Happy Bubble go up!" :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

We posted at the same time!! Sorry Julie!

I'll try the Tylenol but I'll have to get some B vitamins. We were probably sisters in some past life (for every year you live, you get one past life where you can be ANYTHING you wanna be, like a fantasy! So I was a race car driver and an ice cream taster and a professional clown...I could go on and on!)!

The Pamprin w/o caffeine is the mix of ingredients - the B vitamins. I use it faithfully, and if DD could only swallow she would too. I have to grind it up. UGH!! It does make the bathroom trips more frequent, tho.

So, are you a Junior? I'm confused by your TigerCheer2009. Not a freshman are you????

Forgot to add: I take them only maybe a couple of times a day and sporadically. I don't take them for several days in a row or the max of 8 a day. Dries me out too much. A couple at night usually help a lot.

Don't worry about the 5 lbs. I'm sure it is just bloating or something simple. You're doing too well for it to be something you've done wrong. Could you be gaining muscle? That's never a bad thing.

Glad to see you are in such good spirits. Not sure what we would do here on the board if you weren't. You make all of us want to dance :banana: and cheer :cheer2: . Just keep that mentality and you'll go far. :moped:

When I was young, we used to go to Kings Island every summer. I loved it! I haven't actually been there though since my senior year of HS.........10 years ago!!!

Did anybody else catch the thingamabob about the new workplace with the walking treadmill desks? Or my favorite fact, that fidgeting burns nine calories an hour? Standing around burns 100 per two hours. We can stand our way to Disney!!

:cheer2:

I was reading that this a.m. I know our sedentary lifestyles have SO much to do with our weight problems. I work at a newspaper. At one of the our competitors they have a treadmill in the newsroom, so if things are slow, you can pop on the treadmill. Would love that here.

About the weight - if you are gaining muscle/abs it could take awhile for the fat to realize and move out of the way. Just an idea. With my jogging I can see my legs are getting more muscular, but not necessarily thinner - YET! The important thing is to KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. Eat well and exercise more. It takes our bodies time to kick in sometimes I think but consistency pays off. MY SIL, who is railthin, lost a lot of weight going to the gym and it took her four months to begin to see a difference. Good luck to all of us. Have a good day. :rolleyes:

Hmmmm, sounds like you are gaining muscle. Your food and exercise are great so I wouldn't worry about poundage. More important that the number, how do you feel?

I'm a middlie (advanced classes will make me go to college early so I'm in two grades at once) Freshmore this year, sojunior next year, but a smart one taking active steps to a better life. Thanks, goldcupmom!

Amanda-yep, you're right. I did a weigh in just to check and this morning it said 175! I think my scale has gone CRAZY or needs new batteries. Good (about me being a motivator)! I happen to be honored to be the Sunshine Spot on the WISH boards!!! :sunny: For gym, we took this test that gave us four letters based on our personality. Mine is exactly ME! I love to empower people: EDNP "Every Day New Possibilities!!"

Shauna-First things first! Welcome back! As I mentioned, my scale decided to be an evil picklehead. It could be muscle. Probably is. I wish there was a checkie thing we could use to see if it actually was!

TOJ: Thanks! It probably is.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gotta motor, dear WISH buds! :moped:
does anything EVER cancel anything out? LOL ummmmmmmmmmm I don't think so, but enjoy it none the less...if we don't have what we want in moderation, we will have it daily in the form of our old eating habits!!!
GO JEN GO!!! LOSE THAT WEIGHT!!! :) I'M PROUD! :) :cool1: :flower: :cool1:
Jen -- step AWAY from the Johnny Rockets! You definitely do NOT want to spend 11 points on fries and 16 on an original, do you? Actually, I am not even sure if that is the correct calculation of points, but it looks like a LOT!!!! You have been working so hard. I hope you find a way to reduce the points in your dream meal -- maybe no bread on the burger? or maybe 1/2 the fries? I have found that the sure-fire way for me to have no regrets after a splurge is to have shared it with someone. Fortunately I can usually get DH or one of my DKids --DD16 or DS11 to share something with me, automatically reducing by at least 1/2 the number of points I would have otherwise consumed. Maybe you and a friend can share the fries? Okay, I'll shut up now. :)
Have a great time!
LOL---I'm loving how you said "STEP AWAY FROM THE JOHNNY ROCKETS" ...LOL
I'm kinda agreeing with you though, it seems like a lot to me, but then again, what do I know...I don't do WW! LOL
:D JMTC
TOJ :teeth:
LOL - I agree its a lot but I think she may be entitled to a bit of a splurge since she's been working so hard. At least its planned and she knows she's getting back on track right after. There's only so far you can go with resistance without getting ballooned by your cravings in the long run. I know the feeling, there are some places that I will eat what I want when I go there..........luckily, I rarely go so it's a nice occasion, a "treat", when I do.
Of course, I do think Cam's idea of splitting it or leaving "some" behind is a great way to make yourself feel good about a splurge.
Either way, I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip! Ride coasters, laugh and just have a rockin time. :dancer:
Okay! Alright! I didn't even step FOOT in Johnny Rockets!!! My group opted for the (free) hot dogs the chaperones were cooking.
I really didn't eat or drink much at all! I was too busy riding what rides that didn't have a long wait (I didn't even get on the Raptor! Better group next time!) or walking around.
I did have:
one unsalted pretzel with a little butter on it
a small cardboard holder of ff's
two 22 oz of Sierra Mist
48 ounces Aquafina
I was traveling around with a friend (Jess), her friend (a REALLY awesome guy, Jacob) and various other characters who lost and met up with us. I started to get a migraine on Disaster Transport. As soon as I stepped out into the sun, there it was! After that we trekked to the Wildcat, the second most jerkiest ride in the WHOLE park, and rode that maybe six times. Jess/Jacob started to notice that I looked pale, was I sure I wanted to ride ths, gave me advice for the best seating positions, etc. and made sure I chugged two bottles of water. Then it was on the Iron Dragon!! I rode that 6 times. Not good with a migraine! Why did I push myself on? because I am a TRUE rollercoaster lover! And also my backpack with my Advil and my rain poncho (which I'd need later) were on the other side of the park, in my locker. Great! :rolleyes:
All in all it was AWESOME! I had fun and I loved hanging out with my friends.
Oh...BTW, weigh in this morning was 186! I maintained. Pretty good considering the week I've had! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cam-thanks for the advice. As I mentioned, adrenaline kind of took my hungry feelings away except for my snack (pretzel with no salt) and dinner (hot dog, ff's). I would have taken it considering my group members wanted dinner on the cheap and how can you get cheaper than free?

Jen with one N- It is a lot. No, if I were to eat that, I wouldn't be able to eat anything else the WHOLE trip. Thanks for poppin' in!

Amanda-Thank you! MY group members didn't want to ride the big rides...or even the Blue Streak...or agree on most of the rides! With that in mind, how could I have even got them to agree to JR's, I'd never know. They did have a Famous Daves and it sounded good.

Toodle oo everyone!

Just finally caught up to you after coming back from London. We had a great time.

Looks like you have been very busy. Sorry to hear about the Squad Leader position, but you know what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Count it as a learning experience and figure out what you need to do to make that big dream happen. You can always change your dreams, but you can never give them up or you would have nothing to strive for.

Glad to hear that your grandpa is doing a little better and hope that surgery gets scheduled soon. :angel:

Sounds like you have been having fun with the Relay for Life and the roller coasters! Congrats on getting down to 186! :banana: At this rate, you will definitely need a new cheerleading uniform for the next season. :cool1:

Have a great weekend! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Thanks Lesli! I was reading your journal about London. Makes me wanna go there and get myself lost!

~Note: His surgery is scheduled 6-3-2005. Any spare prayers, please keep him in your hearts and minds!~

I am gonna need a new cheerleading uniform!

b: smoked sausage, two pieces toast, milk (7)
l: chicken noodle soup, tuna fish sandwich w/ lettuce, tomatoes (7)

Water: not yet
Exercise: 18 minute walk from library!

Hey, Jen! Congrats on resisting Johnny Rockets! It's good, but I'm at the point where I will ask myself if it's REALLY worth the points. Most of the time, if I have to ask, it's not. It's REALLY hard tho!

Your Grandpa's on my prayer list. Be sure to let us know how things go.

Last summer when DD and my train trip to FL got messed up (they were so late they were going to BUS us from El Paso Tx to Orlando) and we had to go buy another suitcase at the mall just to make it on the plane (we were 4 hours from home w/ no vehicle as DH had dropped us off) I started my vacation on the Mrs. Fields WW plan - DD and I got 2 huge brownies and a cup of 40 small cookies. Stress induced, NOT worth the points (several days worth, I'm sure) but yummy. After that I really started thinking. I only gained 3 lbs in 3+ weeks, but it was still AWFUL!! Trips, even one day, are hard. You did AWESOME!!!

Hang in there and have a GREAT weekend!

So, you're doing HS in 3 years? AWESOME!!! That's a real accomplishment!

Thanks Julie! Yeah, I know. It was hard not to pop in there when I had a few minutes of "getting lost" time.

I will let you all know how things go! I appreciate this.

Yep...yep I am! It's very stressful because last year I was tethered to being a middle/HS student. It's still got its stress peaks, but is much easier this year because I have only one class downstairs: band, at the end of the day! Thanks!

dinner: Pizza! Why? I don't feel like cookin'! I'm counting that as 6.
