Feeling so much better this morning! I'm spending the day at my grand-mothers, she's bringing me back at 2:30 to go to the Y! Last night I was invited to play frisbee, and I went, and it was fun and then I realized THAT'S AN HOUR OF EXERCISE! :cheer2:

I think I'm going to start something a little new today. I'm not going to follow the POINTS system for a few days just to see how I feel eating healthy and using portion control. This is a test, I repeat, just a test.

B: Fruit and Walnut Salad w/ yogurt, cinnamon roll, hash brown, milk. Much healthier than my alternative usual: 3 hotcakes and 2 sausages drowned in butter and syrup, hash brown salted, orange juice.

Get together w/ friends.

I need a little time to re-set a few of my goals, because writing them down always helps.

1: Be at least at 175 and holding when school starts.
2: Drink more water!
3: Me time (bubble bath, reading, movie, something that I do to show myself that I care)

Lunch was pretty yum filled. Nothing much though!

L: 1 "cereal bowl" of Jen's Salad (lettuce, shredded cheddar, extra tomatoes, thin sliced turkey), 12 tortilla chips, custard cup of salsa

10 minute bike ride both ways, 20 minute walk (10 going, 10 back). Plus an extra 5 for the pretending horse game (Knights on their horses...one person in front, one person in back).

Water: none yet, but I'm working on it.

I'll go in for play practice at a regular time. Clarinet can wait till tomorrow. I have to learn how to work the video camera for the interview for language arts. I'm interviewing my pastor. She spent 2 years in Haiti helping the Grace Children's Hospital. I'm gonna shower and call my friends. Bye!

It's very yum. I drank 2 bottles of water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yum! Play practice at 7, no sitting tomorrow because the kiddos are sick and also NO MORE COLLEGE PREP READING (it's optional and I might do it but yay anyway!)

Don't you just hate mouth shopping! Before you know it, you've eaten tons of things because what you thought you wanted wasn't what your mouth wanted.

So, is band camp with everyone or is it just you attending by yourself?

I hate mouth shopping. At first I wanted the punky cake. Mouth: Nope...something savory! Cheese. Mouth: Eh...no. Salty! Crackers. Mouth: Not quite there yet. Sweet please! Pear? Mouth: YES! Ha-cha-cha! We have a winner!

Band camp is everybody. It's where we learn the moves to our first show and incorporate the newbies. This show'll feature: Rock n Roll All Nite, We Will Rock You and Bohemian Rhapsody. Fun! I have the first two done, but Bohemian will take a little time.

I am SUPER DUPER HAPPY the punky cake is gone! And not a moment too soon!

It's a popcorn taste test. You can have cinna-sugar popcorn, pizza popcorn (oregano, basil, parmesan), mac-n-cheese popcorn (mac and cheese powder) etc. They all involve being drizzled with fresh melted butter. Yum! I will try everything and then stop. Lots of water will be consumed.

Pretty good today! 2 more bottles water drank, plus 2 hours choir. Fun, but now it's done!
 
No get together...something like that planned for tonight. Hopefully, if the Choir Nazi lets us go at normal time.

Volunteered again. Lots of fun. My brain is frazzled as I just volunteered for an 1/2hr with the littlies and played parachute, horsey, and RUN QUICK FROM THE DINOSAUR!!!! (That is actually the real name of the 'game'.) And my babysitting kids' mom wants to know if I can sit from 3-6:30. And I have cheerleading practice...plus choir. I might volunteer again from 1:30 to 2:30 depending on Claire (the mother of the children).

Clarinet is DONE! Did that!

ETA: I walked to the library (20 minutes, 10 there and 10 back). But since I do that nearly every day, should I be counting that towards my exercise?

My day has been flying by, actually. It's been pretty good so far. After today I am going to switch back to my POINTS plan. I miss it so much. Didn't think I would but I am much more aware of how I constantly snack on carbs...maybe a week or two of Atkins would be good (that I could survive!). Any suggestions on that matter? I think I actually forgot how to do Atkins! Meat, cheese, salad, veggies...etc. Can I have fruit?

Its probably not full Atkins, but berries and melons have lower carbs than other fruit.

I can't even have the :banana: :banana: :banana:s? That's okay. I can do the berries and melons thing. Thanks DisDon. I just had awesome success with Atkins, but it all came back. I felt good, too. It was just hard at certain points.
 
Hiya Tiger!

I used to work for the American Diabetes Association. Atkins is not good for your body. Eating constant protein damages your kidneys and it doesn't work for very long because you gain weight back as soon as you start eating carbs. Even the ADA recommends a balanced diet with smart carbs instead of no carbs at all.

Your band camp sounds like what we used to call "Summer Band". It was essentially the whole band learning our marching music and half-time show. I also attended a band camp every summer. It really helped me to develop musically. Either way, it's all super fun!

Good for you on the volunteering! Enjoy your get-together. :flower:

Sounds like you are keeping busy with all that you're doing, that is cool! If Atkins is not your cup of tea, I know you will find something that works for you, especially with all the library trips! The program I follow is not carb free but carb controlled, certain carbs are ok at most meals and then you save the stronger ones for a balance meal once a day, helps me control carb cravings and I still get the occasional treat. Not saying it is for you, just saying we all look for what will help us! :goodvibes My piece of advice would be that if you do want to try a specific plan, you get the book/materials involved so you know exactly what is expected and what to do, and don't try to recreate something secondhand. (Hope that makes sense! I just want us all to be safe and healthy! hehe)

Hope that all of your practices went well tonight, I need a rest just keeping up with all you do in a day! hehe! :3dglasses
