Ok....I have a very simple palate. I know, very unsophisticated. But, it is what it is. My dh and I are traveling with another couple in late Nov and they want to eat at Tiffins. So, I booked it. But....I'm not really sure I'm going to find anything simple enough on the menu. Does anyone know how possible it is to order off the children's menu but pay more for it? I really don't want to say we can't eat there because I can't find anything I like, but I also don't want to pay a ton of money and then leave the food on the plate because I can't eat it.
Thoughts?

I don't know about the kids menu, but the Waygu beef entree isn't terribly exotic (delicious yes, but not exotic). Beef, carrots, and potatoes with some chimichurri.

I had the steak and it was fine.
Not sure about the children's menu

The black-eyed pea fritters look and taste a lot like hushpuppies... and they are delicious!

If you dont like chimicurri or any sauces on the beef, just ask them to omit it. Or ask for it on the side. That dish is as plain as it gets. Or just tell the server you want plain grilled beef or plain grilled chicken (with a side of potatoes/vegi). Im sure they'll accommodate you.

OMG! Sorry to hijack the thread!!! I was wondering this as well!!! My girls want to eat here. I am a very disciplined eater. I would love just some steamed fish(preferably salmon) and broccoli. Any insight or experience would be great.

I'm picky. The steak was fine and I wasn't offended by anything on my plate.

The Wagyu, Chicken, and Black Eyed Pea Fritters were all approachable but entrees were meager in portion size. My wife had a larger entree at Victoria and Albert's ("main" course from the 7 course) than what we received at Tiffin's

It's a skip for us next time, especially for dinner.

When we went, my DS9 ordered the kids chicken and I ordered the wagyu beef . . . he ate almost my entire steak (and he was, at the time, a pretty picky eater). I ate the chicken and it was pretty, darn plain.

They don't serve salmon, to the best of my memory. Fish yes, but not salmon. They'll be able to serve you plain of what they serve but not what they don't serve.

You should be able to order off the children's menu or failing that, ask for a plain dish (no sauces, only salt/pepper as seasoning). I agree that if they're not serving salmon on the regular menu they probably don't have any on hand.

Thanks Angie! I love your Avatar! You are adorable!!!!

Excellent! I know that Disney is very good about getting the guest the dish they like, but just wasn't sure about the beef. Sounds like that will be perfect!! There are other places I would prefer, but this is the one place our friends asked for. So, that's where we'll eat!!
Thanks everyone!!! That really helped.

We are a family of adventurous eaters, with two picky DILs. They both enjoyed the pomegranate chicken with sweet potatoes. And Tiffins was a big hit with all of us.

The scallops are fabulous! Not sure if they are on the kid's menu but OMG they are tasty.
I had the scallops and am kind of a picky eater, loved them, they were done perfectly. The rest of my adventurous party was not very happy with the meal def a skip from now on.
