Tiffany Town Car or FL tours?

A car service provides personal service. A lot of people like personal service, and don't mind paying for it.

You asked for fast and cheap. DME is free. A car service might save you 30 minutes if you don't have checked luggage (or use DME for luggage only--read the sticky). A car service will save you very little time if you get you get your checked luggage but would use luggage delivery with DME.

There are some advantages to using a car service, but not for passengers looking for cheap.

Ok ... I meant Fast & at a Fare price. I know a service won't be cheap and definetely not as well priced as Disney's ME :)
DH doesn't mind spending $60 + tip to shave an hr. or so off of our travel time to POFQ. We are taking his Mom this trip and would like to start our 1st day ASAP.

I would suggest you get the one day rental because parking at the ship is $15.00 per day. A seven day cruise parking your rental at the ship will cost $105.00 extra.

You'll save about 30 minutes if you have carryon luggage or use DME for "luggage only". You'll save almost no time if you get your own luggage but would otherwise use DME luggage delivery service.

Average time with DME, from landing to arrival at your resort, is 70 minutes. It's going to take 5-10 minutes to get from the gate to the location where you meet your driver and 30 minutes to drive to WDW. Add a 20 minute wait for checked luggage and you'll lose most of your time savings.

Nothing wrong with wanting the kind of personal service you get with a car service but you really can't justify the money based on time saved.

EXCEPTION Guests landing after 10p have to get their own luggage. SW passengers save the time (and hastle) of dragging their bags to the opposite corner of the airport. Probably worth the money.

My experience in getting from the gate to the main terminal is 10 -15 minutes by myself. After coming through the security gates at the main terminal it is another 5 - 10minutes to the DME and that is if you land on U.S. Air, United and the airlines just above the DME. I am not wasting time along the way to make it in the above times.

I cannot see how a family of five can get to the DME, without picking up luggage, from the plane, landing A side on SW or Jet Blue, to the main terminal and than to the opposite end of the B terminal in less than 20 minutes. You can't make kids walk fast enough to make this happen. It takes me 10 minutes to walk leisurely from the main terminal Starbucks third floor (A-side on the SW end of the building) to the DME busses on the first floor commercial lanes. That doesn't include the time from the gate to the trains that take you over to the main terminal, because that has to run about 10 to 15 minutes depending on where the plane docks.

So 5 -10 minutes from gate to DME desk is not a reality unless you are O.J. Simpson in the airports. I would think an average time, from any gate, to the DME would be somewhere between 20 - 25 minutes. A family with kids does not travel as fast as a single person. I have passed many families on the way over.
