Tiered FP+ for DHS

I know at some point we will be in a long line for a character, but we can manage our days by avoiding most of the long ride lines, and as a result we can fit a lot more into a day.

This is the point so many miss. We love lots of different things about Disney. We love characters, we love shows, we have been known to stake out the perfect spot to photograph the parade or Wishes hours in advance. People who know this about us are surprised to find out I care so much about FP. That's not because we go crazy with the rides. It's because it so easily allows us to fit those rides conveniently in between all the other things we love to do. Make me start waiting in long ride lines, and the other things we love about Disney start getting a lot harder to do. It has been an awesome balance. Start taking pieces of that away and it all starts to come into question.

The question that I have yet seen to be answered is..... For all of those that think those with concerns about this are blowing it out of proportion and everything will be fine and they are just wrong about all of this.... Why do you care? Some seem to be pretty angry that others are concerned about this. I don't see anyone telling you it is wrong that the new system will work for you so why tell them they are wrong because it won't work for them?

So what is your personal investment in all of this that is making you all so passionate to defend Disney? Are all of you like this with everything you are passionate about? If someone has a different point of view than yours they are just wrong?

I can't even understand why Beauty and the Beast is a FP option let alone a FP+ tier one option. WTH!

It is a high capacity show...they need that for the tiers

I've seen these questions asked many times but I have yet to see an answer. Good luck with that.

I'm not even particularly negative (once I got past my initial panic) and I still don't understand the constant attacks on people who are worried and upset about this. I just don't see why they care so much. :confused3

I doubt I will get one. I guess they just want to discuss their feelings on it but some of the rudest posts I have seen are from the defenders. I mean personally I don't care where anyone decides to go on vacation. Why would and should I? :confused3

IMO, some of the people on here treat Disney like family (I can say whatever I want, but don't you dare say anything bad about my Disney!).

IMO, some of the people on here think that if they get more people to become anti-Disney, then those people will stop going to the parks and it will be less crowded for them.

IMO, some people just like to complain, whether they really believe in what they type or not since message boards are anonymous.

All valid points. I think anyone that thinks they can cause a revolution at Disney by getting more people not to go(based off of 1 message board) is pretty silly. There are not enough people on this board to make a noticeable difference. For the most part I think most are just trying to vent and see if anyone else feels the way they do. Everyone on here is a fan of Disney and its hard to admit something you admire or like might not be worth admiring or liking as much anymore. Just looking for support for difficult feelings they are having.

Love this thread! There are some awesome posts here!
However.....I too am getting frustrated about the attacks, both subtle and blatant, on folks who are expressing their disappointment regarding the changes at WDW. There is SO MUCH energy being devoted to telling people that they shouldn't feel what they are feeling.

For those of you who need so badly to point out how wrong it is to dislike the changes, don't you realize that THAT is what is making these posts so negative? People are just sharing their frustration and dissatisfaction with A PARK...... A PARK for G--s sake. You are expressing your frustration and dissatisfaction about THEM. And then we have 15 pages of back and forth which result in nothing but hurt feelings and anger.

Just my opinion, but I think the negative energy in these posts would drop about a thousand percent if we just shared what we thought and felt about WDW, period, and stopped "sharing" what we thought and felt about the person posting.

This is exactly how I feel. If I'm waiting in line, I'm not doing something else. Not being able to FP the same ride (I know we we go on multiple times) will equal more time in line. I'm a shopper, Disney, you're missing out here.

So, one person of our party is still waiting for their tickets from UCT. She was going to wait and purchase at the parks but this FP+ thing changed that...anyways, after she gets her tickets and we link them to her profile do you think we will be able to share our FP+ selections? We already chose ours before this tier bit started. We are all on the same reservation.

This constant changing is really making me mad and I'm trying hard not to focus on the negatives. It just is beginning to feel like a bait n' switch since you don't really know what you are going to get.

For what it's worth, I made all our FP+ reservations before tiering started. Then an MDE glitch wiped the FP+ reservations of one member of our party after the Epcot tiers were put in place. I was still able to copy reservations in all parks, including three tier one Epcot rides on the same day, so now we all have the same reservations again.

It's like losing a really good friend. Some of us love Disney and they way things were and don't like/don't understand why things have to change. (Not asking for anyone to give me reasons why they think it is changing...just saying) It is BECAUSE we love Disney that we continue to hash and rehash our feelings. Our feelings are our feelings and while you every right in the world not to feel the same, you shouldn't have the right to try and make someone feel bad, stupid or ridiculous about their feelings. Like the post about losing the Main Street Bakery. Now I've looked at the thread to see what others are saying but it doesn't impact our family because we rarely visited the Bakery. So I don't add to that discussion because to say "for heaven sakes...it is just a cinnamon roll!" adds nothing to the discussion. I think they have the right to be disappointed. Something they love was lose. You can express how you do not think something is a big deal for your family and the reasons why and there are some that support FP+ that do this and can still see the other side for those that don't support it. Just as I understand how this system can be great for some at certain times of the year.

But really...I don't understand those crazy Main Street Bakery people. :rotfl2:
BTW....that was a joke!! :goodvibes

Thank you for letting us know. That is reassuring. Someone suggesting saving screenshots of the FP+ reservations on your phone & someone else kindly explained how. So I have that on my phone now for "proof" in the park in case I have a problem and also to remind me of my times.

I really don't think there are people conspiring here to get others to be anti Disney so it is less crowded for them
