Has any one done this with just one color or one color scheme? DH doesn't care for Tie dye too much so I thought if I did Boys shirts in just an aqua blue with a medium amount of white showing, or two shades of blue or something, and girls shirts in pink or pink and red or purple.
What does everyone else think???
Funny you should ask, I just did this very thing! I'm hoping to post my final results tomorrow, so it'll give you an idea of what it can look like. I love doing one color scheme, or sticking with one to two colors, it gives a really nice unity to the shirts.
Now I see 'em!Sweet, they look cool.

I know, me too, i was thinking the same, mmmm candy corn, candy corn, pumpkin pie mmmm
Me, too, it reminds me of candy corn. I love that it's getting to be that time of year.
Sweet, they look cool.

I had an inch of tight rubberbands.......oh well, there's always the bleach pen to perk them up , right??!!!
) Oh well, we won't know until we unband tomorrow. I also have a blue thumb
Do the shirts have to be soaked in soda ash before tye dyeing? The kit I bought (Tulip from Hobby Lobby) doesn't have it as part of the kit. Just wondering if I should go out and look for it or if I can make the shirts without soaking in the soda ash. Thanks!
Our mickey heads turned out pretty well, though, considering it was my first time dyeing! I'll post pics after church....
