Tidbits from Today's DVC E-Mail

I saw the Disney Store discount was already mentioned.

A few other highlights were

1. The discount on tours at WDW is now 15% instead of 10%.

2. Soon, you will be able to update your e-mail address at the Member Site.

3. Florida is going to be changing exit numbers.....make all our directions quite different, even to Vero. I thought I'd post that part of the message here.

**Changing Lanes**

Earlier this year, the Florida Department of Transportation began
changing the Interstate exit numbers from consecutive exit
numbers to milepost numbers. On I-4, Exit 26 A & B (State Road
536 East and West) will now be Exit 67. World Drive (Exit 24D)
will now be Exit 62. If you're traveling to Disney's Vero Beach
Resort on I-95, Exit 69 (State Route 512/Fellsmere Road) will now
be 156. Advance guide signs and exit direction signs will display
both the old and new exit numbers for a two-year transition
period.

Member Services have my email address but I've never received any type of email newsletter?

We got our first e-mail from DVC yesterday too! It was only like 4 months ago we asked to be put on the list.

I've requested to be added to their list at <i>least</i> twice, and have still not received the first email.....

Yeah, how do we get on this e-mail list? It's not like I haven't ever e-mailed MS before.

I'm not sure how you get on the list. In the past, they sent out notifications about sending them your address. The line about soon being able to change your e-mail address by using the Member Site seems to indicate they are getting serious about communicating via e-mail.

My suggestion would be to send MS an e-mail requesting to be put on the DVC e-mail list. Put "Add to E-Mail Distribution" or something similar in the subject line.

I heard that the e-mail sent out the other day regarding HHI approaching sell-out only went to members who had the Use Years that are still available for add-ons. They sometimes send out these customized types of e-mails. One that I like, is when they send an e-mail reminder of banking deadlines.
