does anyone know of a true discounted site? It seems like paying in advance for Disney tickets through WDW wensite is the cheapest unless I am missing something. Plus can you only get an AP through WDW :) Thanks guys :)

Oh I don't know I am guessing you can? Were they discounted in the past and I guess you would have to pay your states sales tax. Hmm I am going to call today about that :)

No, we didn't have to pay sales tax for Minnesota on them, only the Florida tax, since you are buying a voucher. It was cheaper in advance than at the parks, and takes a lot less time once you get to the park to get it activated. It might not be discounted any more like the other passes are. I think pre-buying is the only Disney discount.

There isn't any discount for annual or premium annual tickets (unless you are a Florida resident). The only discount I can ever remember for annual passes was from the now-defunct Disney Club.

As far as I know, you can only purchase annual or premium annual passes through a Disney source. None of the discount brokers sell them.

You can still get vouchers for annual & premium annual passes at the Disney Stores. They need to be exchanged for the actual passes before they can be used.

The only tax you pay on WDW tickets is the 6.5% "use" tax charged by the state of Florida. You do not pay any other state's sales taxes, so it doesn't matter where you buy your WDW tickets. The tax is always the same.

The answer to your original question depends on the type of pass you are looking for. If you want the AP, it doesn't matter where you get it (Disney Store, WDW mail order, at the gate), it will cost you exactly the same amount.

Sales tax is charged for all park pass purchases--even in states with no state sales tax. The tax is 6.5%, and is based upon the current rate at WDW.
