I am possibly booking a package with tickets and a dining plan. The tickets say they would expire on the last day of my first stay, is there any way to extend the ticket to the second stay? (For example, checking out 1/23 from Pop Century and checking into CSR, would use last day of ticket 1/24) Or is that impossible?

TIA!

I'm following along. We are in the same situation. We have a 4 night stay with free dining. After we booked this I called and upgraded our tickets from a 4 day hopper to a 6 day hopper because we are staying 2 nights after the package deal at CCV using our points. I just noticed today that the tickets in MDE say they expire on the last day of our first stay, just like you mentioned. I made our FP+ for the entire 6 day ticket package so I'm not sure how this is all going to work out! I assume the expiration date is a mistake?

It would be best to book a room + Dining Package and purchase tickets separately for your total length of park visits. You can purchase from a ticket discounter, link the tickets, and book FPs for all park days when your booking window opens covering both onsite stays.

You can book a package without tickets? Even if you are not an annual passholder?

Hmmmm...I have a split stay Christmas week. 4 days at wilderness lodge and the rest at YC. I booked WL with a package and 9 day park hoppers. Then YC I booked room only. Based on the ticket stickie in this forum, I understood that to be the best way to do it. It says that tickets expire 10 days after first day of stay I believe. That may not be exactly right. I’m going off of memory. I do see that MDE shows expiration date as last day of first stay but I assumed that couldn’t be right. How could I be able to buy 9 day tix that expire after 4 days. Plus, FP’s were able to be booked for all 9 days, not just up to listed expiration date. So I think I’m good?

Yes it's a ticketless package :) Just have to call it in!

So question, would a ticketless package be easier to convert a room only to ticketless OR a package with tickets and dining to ticketless? Just trying to not lose the room discount lol

It is easier to convert a full package to a ticketless.

To convert a room-only to a package, the reservation would need to be cancelled, rebooked, and a new $200 deposit taken. You would be given a new reservation number, and the initial room-only deposit would be refunded back.

FWIW, I just returned from a 9 day trip where I had a split stay (both parts in a Disney resort) and I booked 7 day tickets as part of a package with the first stay. In MDE it said they expired the day I checked out of the first resort, but they were good the entire time I was there. I didn’t have any issues when booking fastpasses, but I did have a near heart attack when a few days before my trip I got emails saying my FPs for the second stay were going to be cancelled. I called and no one could figure out why I got those emails and said not to worry that if they disappeared they could restore them. They never did disappear, but it caused me way more stress than it should have. So I definitely recommend booking the tickets separately if only to avoid anxiety!

You are good. Date-based tickets purchased with a package are valid for the longer of: length of that package stay or valid use-window based on number of ticket days. A 9-day ticket is good for 13 days from the start date, even if you check out of your first resort during that time.

enjoy your vacation!
