I was wondering , if we plan on doing a Believe show at SW do we have to buy tickets for the show in advance or just walk in and attend? My husband is military and we will be using the 2009 military tickets but cant get them until we arrive there from Tenn. Do i need to call and reserve ? We are doing a week in orlando and plan to spend a whole day at SW,with the other days spent at other parks.

Also what kinds of interaction do they have other than feeding and petting the dolphins? I kinda wanted a picture of kissing a dolphin and was told something about the other whales that do that, can someone help me, please???:confused3

1. All of the shows are included with the pass to get in. Only charges in addition to day pass would be your food, feeding the dolphins, rays, and sea lions, the rock climbing, bungy stuff, and the sky tower. You can take your day pass to window at left of entrance and get a 2nd day free even with the military pass, I think.

2. Dine with Shamu, the Luau, Beluga experience & Penquin encounter and other tours are also not included in pass.

3. If it is Bud & BBQ time when you are there and there is a concert the concert is included in your day pass. So is Jack Hanna when he is there.

4. For interaction with the animals it is mainly the feeding. There is a non feeding area where you might get to pet a dolphin. You can do the tours but they cost $$ . To swim with the dolphins you actually have to go to Discovery Cove, the park that is across the street. It is in the range of $200 for the day there.

5. To my knowledge I don't think there is any way to kiss a dolphin or whale at SW except, I guess you could kiss the whale if you do the Beluga swim. (around$200). Years ago they use to have someone from the audience touch the whales and dolphins in the show, but that is not in Believe or Blue Horizon.

For Believe...get to the show 30 minutes early in order to get a good seat. I'm not sure how they do it anymore, but they have a thing where one child in the audience gets picked to share "what they believe" and they get to feed shamu...at least the girl last night did.

the child picked, is picked long before the show ever starts and they usually do it outside the stadium. Then the family gets prime seating for the show.

They make it seem like they randomly pick a kid during the show, but they don't. I'm not exactly sure of when and where they do the picking, I just know it happens before the show.

I didn't realize they picked them outside the stadium, I just figured they picked someone when they first opened the stadium to seating so the earlier you got there and if you got in the splash zone next to the stage where Shamu comes out of the water the better your chances were.

I know for a fact that it is totally random. What makes you think it isnt?
