We are a family of 5 going to DW next week. I have been researching about ordering tickets for DW. I can not decide between one day tickets or hopper tickets. I am worried about getting to a park and the kids not being real happy with it and wanting to go somewhere else. But then you know it is also about spending the extra money. I don't know if anyone can tell me but is there discounts on DW tickets? I always see discounts for SW and Universal but not any for DW unless you go to a timeshare.

Thanks
Ronda

well I don't think you will see a discount any time soon. we leave on Tuesday for 8 days. we have regular tickets... I had hoppers and cancelled it. here is why...
My kids are 11,8,5,and 2 they will have plenty to do in 1 day with out going to another park, if I need to I can always add it on later.:thumbsup2

Also the TA told me with the time frame we are there that the parks will all be crowded so if your avoiding crazy crowds its not going to happen. He thought it would be a waste of money for us to do it. That is coming from a TA so I went with what they said.

Its alot of work to me to go to another park "just because". wait in line , pack the stroller get on then haul us there then reset our selves to see something else for a few hours.

I say get a regular pass and if you feel you need it change it while your there.
I am sure alot of folks disagree, it just depends on the ages and how much hauling around you want to put into it. I figure if they don't know anything about it they are not missing anything. I want to save the 250$ and use it on other things there

Hi Ronda

Ummmm... in a word, no. This I wouldn't worry about. There is absolutely no way that your kids will be wanting to go to a different park because they're not happy. I'd say if anything that they may want to come back a second day because the didn't get to see everything. Seriously, if you're worried about spending the extra money to get the hopping option then don't. Personally I really don't think it's worth it.

How many days are you going? Where are you staying?

These details might help with your answers.
We stayed on property for the first time this year, and the park hopper really benefitted us this time b/c you get EMH (Extra Magic Hours) if you are on property. We wanted to take advantage of that so, say for example, we had a day planned at Epcot, but Magic Kingdom was staying open 3 hours late, we would do our day at Epcot, but then we could head over to MK to enjoy the later hours and lesser crowds.

I enjoyed having the Park Hopper, but it worked out well for us just due to the EMH, and some dining reservations that were in diff't parks. Might be a totally different situation for you.

My husband and I always use Official Ticket Center (they are online). We usually only have to buy a 3 day ticket, and we get 2 for free. Those guys are great !!!!
