You can buy single day tickets online — now or the night before or day-of. If you wanted to buy LL it might be better to buy in advance.

Just curious and not sure if this is the right thread.

I was making park reservations just now and it would not show me any date past tomorrow. It took me a while to realize it was because my annual pass expires tomorrow!

Doesn't Disney send out reminders when one's AP is due for renewal? We also have the Water Park & Sports add-on that we go to regularly and if I hadn't noticed this on my own today, it would have been embarrassing to arrive at mini-golf to scan our bands (which we just did yesterday, in fact) and have them tell us we had no passes. Or worse, it would have taken from some old non-expiring tickets that are still sitting in our account and that we wouldn't want used.

Wouldn't you think they would want us to renew so would alert us that our passes are due to expire?

Could the email have gone to a spam or junk folder?

The good news is you found it and you have 30 days to renew yet! We've renewed the past several years, and I honestly can't recall if I get an email reminder or not.

We’ve had annual passes for a while. I also don’t remember if I got a reminder emails or not, but I generally remember when they expire. I’m a little surprised that you thought you could make reservations past a year and it didn’t occur to you that you needed to renew your AP.

Of course, I didn't think I could make reservations past a year. I honestly didn't remember that our APs were expiring - we've had them for years so the expiration/renewal date isn't at the forefront of my mind. I actually thought there was something wrong with the park reservations page when it was blanked out! It took me a minute to realize it was because my passes were due for renewal, and then surprised me that Disney didn't send a reminder (nothing in my spam folder).

We plan on going November 5-19. If I buy our annual passes before we go, they won’t be activated until we go into the parks the first day but if I want to buy Christmas party tickets before we go will I be able to get the AP discount?

Yes—just like being able to apply an AP discount. Wrote your pass is “activated”, you are able to get the discounted party tickets Just did this for my MNSSHP tickets. Will activate when we get there.

Quick question...would it be better to buy from WDW directly in case of hurricane (going in August/September? Or would we be ok buying from Under Cover Tourist??

If you need to cancel and really want the funds returned, WDW is not likely to refund because the tickets will carry a credit towards new tickets. But you could probably cancel with UT minus a re-stocking fee (check their cancellation policy). But if you are OK carrying a ticket credit, tickets purchased either way will carry the same credit towards new future tickets.

We’re good with the credit as we would just reschedule the trip. So is it UT or Disney that will credit the tickets?

I purchased annual passes for my husband and I few months ago through our DVC discount. My husband was just diagnosed with cardiac heart failure and surgery is not an option for him. Doctors feel he has approximately 2 months before he passes. Would they refund me the cost of the ticket at that point? or would I be able to reassign it to one of my adult children? Tickets have not been used. We were supposed to go for a couple of days at the end of April but that was when he got sick and entered the hospital the first time with a bacteria blood infection, so they are still brand new with no used days at this point. Thank you all,

I am so sorry for your husband’s diagnosis.

Since the ticket is fully unused it can be re-assigned to another guest. The challenge is the DVC status — if anyone else in your family lives at your address or is on your DVC membership or lives in FL that will work. Otherwise they will likely need to upgrade to an Incredipass. You have 1 year from date of purchase to start using the AP voucher or it reverts to a credit towards a future AP.

Alternatively, you can try to request a refund. No guarantee they’ll do it but sometimes in special circumstances they will.

Thank you so much. It has been quite a shock to all of us. I have a DVC stay booked for December and haven't decided what to do about that yet. DVC was very kind to revert my points that I was going to use in April that were borrowed back to original use year so that was a real blessing. Both my adult children are on our contract so either one of them could be assigned if need be. Of course, I would rather have the full refund if possible since not sure how much time they would be able to get off to fully utilize the benefits of an annual pass. Time will tell but thank you for your quick response.

He told me yesterday he wished he would get well enough for us to go together in December and it broke my heart knowing he may not be here at that time. We will be married 38 years later this year - so sad...
