I purchased 5-day bonus passes for my kids online (waiting to pick them up via the kiosk when we arrive). Is there a way to upgrade the tickets online to AP's? Or do we have to wait until we get there and have the actual tickets in hand to do it? The reason why I ask is because I'd like to upgrade the 5-day's to the 2 for 1 AP's (but only have the code # not the actual coupon). Or another option would be to upgrade them to the $99 power pass but I think you can only buy those type of tickets online? I just had another thought - since I haven't picked up the tickets yet, can they be cancelled? And then I could just place a new order for AP's........

I'm sure that there is a way to do it for sure but I'm not sure on the exact details. Why don't you give the online ticket store(referenced on the site that you bought your tickets from) and tell them your situation? They'll be able to either cancel your order or upgrade it, I'm sure.
 
Hi there. This is EXACTLY what we did -- exchanged our bonus passes (waiting to be picked up at the kiosk) for online B1G1 year APs.

Here's what I did:

I called them and explained my situation (888-322-7119). They said to go ahead and buy the B1G1 APs. Then I forwarded my original confirmation for the bonus passes, and told them to cancel that confirmation # and keep the confirmation # for the APs. Their email address is customer.support@tickets.universalstudios.com

In fact, I saved the e-mail. I needed a confirmation # for the APs before they would cancel my bonus passes.

So yes, as long as everything is online (and you didn't have paper tickets delivered), it's a breeze!
 
Thanks for the info!! Can all this be accomplished in a week's time? Is there anything that needs to be done through the mail or is it all via the internet (instantaneous)?

Another way - if you do not have much time is - pick up your passes at the self serve kiosk. Take these tickets to customer service - they will apply that amount to your new tickets -APs that you want to purchase. Just make sure you have your original email, with confirmation number and credit card used. This make take a few more minutes - but this is how we are handling this. Good luck. :Pinkbounc
 
Mine took a total of 45 minutes from initial phone call to e-mail notification my bonus passes were cancelled. No paper is involved unless you print your new confirmation for the APs. :D

They refund your credit card for the full price of the bonus passes, and you will see a new charge for the APs, so the only thing that takes any time is your credit for the bonus passes.

We are glad we did this since we'll get 3-4 trips out of our APs!
