I am really confused about using old tickets and may confuse everyone reading this  . I have 1 day left on my park hopping pass from 2003. My trip this year is for 4 park days.

If I am understanding correctly, it is better for me dollar-wise to use my 2003 pass on my first day and then just purchase a 3-day park hopper for the remainder of the trip INSTEAD OF upgrading my 2003 one-day into a 4-day pass. Is this correct? If so, will they give me a new ticket to replace my 2003 one, or can I use the ticket I already have?

Thanks for your help! :)

Best bet is to buy an all new ticket for all four days (or ten days non-expiring) and save the old ticket for the future when you are living off of old tickets for an entire vacation.

If you by a 3 day ticket and use the old ticket as-is (which you perfectly can) it's worth fourteen dollars, the cost of day #4 you did not buy. If you use the ticket on a future 1, 2, or 3 day vacation it is worth more than sixty dollars, much more if you want to park hop.

If you trade up, you must purchase non-expiration on the new ticket and you do not want or need non-expiration ($16. for a 4 day) on a ticket you consume all in one sitting. I am guessing you paid $175. for the old ticket so the 4'th day is worth about $44.
