Not sure if this is the right place, but some of you mention that you did free dining, room and then only bought 1 day ticket? What's that about? Do you stay at resort longer, but have tickets from before?

I guess I'm wondering because we are saving so much $ this time - should we maybe buy the 10 day no expiration tickets and save days (we are definately going again)...but I don't know how that would affect the package next year? We like the DDP and would most likely get it even if it wasn't free. I'm not really up on all of this and would love some help?

I have a dtr whose 2 this trip and would need a ticket for her next time. Would that be enough to book a package for whole family? This is so confusing? :confused3

For a package, everyone in the room needs at least a one day ticket.

Many that buy the one day ticket already have APs, but want to have the dining. They'll use the one day ticket to upgrade to their next AP.

so in theory I could upgrade my package this year to a 10 base ticket no expiration and save the unused days for a future trip. Then if we wanted to do a package with dining we would need to buy my dtrs. ticket and a 1 day ticket of some kind for everyone else or does everyone need to have same ticket type as well?

Do any of you think this would save us money in the long run or because these tickets go down in price the more days maybe it would be a wash. The one day tickets are the most expensive? I have to try and research this somewhere?

Thanks for the input...I'm still not sure if I making any sense. :confused3

We had MYW non exp 10 day passes for our 1/06 trip. We wanted to try the DP so we needed to purchase at least a one day ticket for each person in our party. We saved that ticket on our room key card. I plan to use that one day ticket to upgrade to our AP on our next trip. It cost us more at the time but we can now use the credit towards our AP for our next trip. Whether it works for you may depend o how often you plan to go to Disney. I hope this answers your question. Happy Planning!
