Ticket question

I would like to spend 3 days only at the Parks this year (in August 2004). I plan on pre-checking into my hotel early in the am and then going right over to the parks. MK and Epcot are the 2 parks we'd most like to do, but if I had hoppers we'd go to AK and MGM too. We will not be doing DQ or water parks. What do you think is my best bet for ticket options. (least expensive....most versitile?)

I think that it's going to be difficult to get 3-day park hopper passes. That's what I'd like most of all. Why doesn't Disney sell them? Does anyone know how I could get them?

I know that I could get the 4-day and have the left-over day; but i really don't forsee going back for a few years (gasp!!) and I need to keep the expenses down (thus the 3-day trip).

If I can't get a 3-day hopper should I get a length of stay pass? I am checking in on a Tuesday and leaving on a friday. I do not want to visit the parks at all on Friday. Will I be forced to get a length of stay pass for that last day too?

Otherwise, it seems I should only get a 2-day type ticket at MK and then 1 day ticket for Epcot with no hopping.

Thank you all you experts!

I may get flamed for suggesting this but....here goes anyway. We also wanted just three day hopper passes and went to www.disneymeetings.com to order them. This is a convention site and they are tickets for people who will be at a convention. Obviously we were not going to a convention but we found this site and thought we would order from them. At no time were we asked to provide PROOF that we were going to a convention. As it turned out, the server was down when we ordered and we ended up ordering through somewhere else (don't know where, I'd have to ask DH).

HOWEVER, you might want to try this site, because as I said earlier we at no time had to PROVE that we were going to be going to a convention.... :)

Hope this MIGHT help....and hope I don't get flamed too badly for suggesting it....

Alamo had been selling 3 day hoppers. I'm not sure if they still are. There was a thread recently you may be able to find.

Bump - I'm in a similar situation & would like to know this also......

I did try the advice of the post above and went to disneymeetings.com; however in the end it did ask for information on what group I was attending with and where I was staying; so i don't think it's going to work. I am going to call Alamo this week and I'll post if it's an option. It's too bad that Ticketmania stopped selling the 3-days. I wonder why Disney doesn't have that option?
