I would like to visit US/IOA for 5 days but over an 8 day period. Is that possible without buying an AP? It looks like The 5 day ticket would expire after 7 days.

I bought those tickets and this is the wording on the email from Universal:
The 2-Park 2-Day Park-to-Park + 3-Days Free Promo Ticket Dated entitles one (1) guest admission to BOTH Universal Studios Florida AND Universal Islands of Adventure on the same day. Ticket is valid for any five (5) calendar days during an eight (8) consecutive calendar day period which commences on and includes the date selected.
