Ticket question that has been bugging me

We were at my son's baseball game a few weeks ago and I got to talking with one of the mother's of a player on his team. They had just returned from WDW (during the middle of baseball season, give me a break, they have been playing ball for 7 years and know not to do this during the season but I digress). We almost got into an argument about tickets. She said the only way you can get tickets where you can go from park to park (what I call park hopper passes) is to buy them at the gate. I told her we had bought out tickets last time at our resort and next trip I planned on buying them online because they were cheaper. She said we would not be able to park hop. Well, I know this is not true but finally just gave up but you could tell you just knew I was wrong.

My question is, where can you buy tickets where you cannot park hop beside buying one day admission tickets?

At one time, they sold either 4-day tickets that were good for one park per day or 4-day park hopper tickets (with the park hopper tickets being higher priced). She probably bought the 4-day cheaper tickets that didn't provide the park hopping feature. I believe they only sell the hopper tickets now.

If it were me, I would go to one of the online ticket brokers and print out the "order page" showing that you CAN buy park hopper tickets online. I'd probably print ALL of them from every ticket broker online that I could find as well as from the official Disney site and take them all to show her at the next game, lol.

I'd do that but I would approach it like,"Gee Gladys, (I know her name isn't Gladys but I'm picturing Gladys Kravitz from "Bewitched" the woman in everyone's business lol) I'm trying to decide on whether to buy a 6 day hopper or 7 day (just making it up) and whether to do it online or wait until I get to my resort. Then show her the printed pages. After all, you're jut asking her opinion right? ;-) I'm bad I know but when someone aggravates me I love to kill them with kindness. BTW, as a baseball mom to 2 and coaches wife I know what you mean about a player going on vacation. To be honest we did go to WDW 2 years ago during the season but there was a break in the schedule because there was an adult tournament at the fields that week and we scheduled it according to that. My 8 yr. old ds's team this year was in first place in the league and 2 kids left to go on vacation and one got ill so we didn't have enough players so we had to forfeit 2 games. Came in 2nd which is fine and it's just kid's baseball but it was kind of sad since the team worked so hard and deserved 1st place. My dh coaches my other son's team so it wasn't him but 8 yr. old's coach will remember the two who went on vacation when he drafts next year. When you're playing a team sport and you commit you need to try to stick to a schedule. I know that dd who is on the danceline can only miss 2 practices this summer for vacation. You agree to that when they make it and you sign the dotted line.

Our season is over now but this was a team that only had 9 players so we played about half of our season with only 8 players. Not a lot of fun. They were mad because the coach had already penalized their son by putting him last in the batting order because he was always late for the games. I'm sorry. It is the parents' fault but this is a kid I don't like. None of the kids on the team did either and my son said they would rather play with 8 than play with him. You know the type.
