Ticket Prices Increasing June 12th!

But before the increase when we would have upgraded our tickets to annual passes we would have paid a total of $2446 for the annual passes and now we're only paying a total of $2400 for them so the total cost is still $46 less, right?

I may have had an earlier price for the 10-day base ticket - the increase was $29, not $48.

Pre-increase, 4 adult APs and 1 child AP: $2446
Pre-increase, 4 10-day adult PH and 1 10-day child PH: $1557

Assuming you paid full price as part of a Disney package, you'd pay an additional $889 pre-increase to upgrade.

Post-increase, 4 adult APs and 1 child AP: $2554
Post-increase, 4 10-day adult PH and 1 10-day child PH: $1711
Upgrade cost: $843

So yes, the total price of your APs will actually be $2400. This is because the cost difference between your package tickets and the APs is smaller, owing to the fact that the MYW tickets increased more than the AP.

Yayyy!!! That's a pleasant surprise. It's not like $46 is that much money, but with a trip this expensive, it feels great even to save a little bit!

Maybe something to consider for anyone else who already had tickets before the increase and was considering annual passes.

If my husband and I thought that Disney was overpriced a few weeks ago, then they are definately overpriced now  Just cancelled our plans to visit, and probably won't ever be back to a Disney park. Their loss, our gain.

Six Flags is ten times better than WDW anyway and is geared more toward older kids and adults :yay:

Sorry that you feel that way, however, you won't get much agreement here.

Glad you think Six Flags is so wonderful. You'll probably find one or 2 other people who share your opinion, but not here!!

We've never had more magical vacations than we have at WDW. We will grumble about the latest price increase, but then we will reach a little deeper into our pockets, go on our Disney vacations, have the time of our lives, and come home ready to book our next Disney vacation. :goodvibes

I fall in the category of Senior Citizen. Definitely an adult. There are certain rides at the Disney Parks which I will no longer go on due to age/health constraints.

If I went to a Six Flags park it would be with younger friends and/or relatives. I would not be able to go on almost anything; so I would just sit on a bench and eat peanuts and watch.
