Going in Feb, do Disney increase ticket prices in Jan each year, just want to know should I buy park tickets before Dec 31st. Thanks

Yes, the dues will pbbly increase Jan. 2006. Buy now if you can.

Sea World announced their ticket price increases but no one else has. It is possible that Disney would increase it in January but they have been known to raise them later in the spring as well.

And they used to raise prices in the Fall, until several years ago. However, I think we can expect an increase early this Winter.

They won't go down.
They went down for us this past year. However, I agree with your point, that they're not likely to go down again!

For us, surely. We bought 6 day passes for $223 each. The 6 day passes we bought two years ago were $289 each.

Oh, with the new MYW ticket prices, yeah I guess they went down some. Is that with park hopping? My annual pass went up about $10. No complaints here though - Still a great deal for me with how many days I spend in the parks.

The new MYW passes became less expensive for longer stays. The ability to pick and choose your options made this possible. The old 5-, 6- and 7-day PHPs included "plus" options that people may not have wanted and a "no expiration" clause that some did not need to take advantage of.

Bicker's old 6-day PHPs, at $289 each, would have had 3 pluses and did not expire. The 6-day MYW passes for $223 probably did not include all of that.

Yup, with park hopping. The key is that now they're letting guests purchase exactly the admission we want, not forcing us to buy more admission than we want.

OK, that makes more sense. As of right now, a 6 day hopper with no expiration and water parks is $332. The old park hoppers would include those same options for only $289. Of course, I prefer the new way where you can save money by opting not to chose those options which you won't use (not that it matters since I buy an AP.) It will be nice for my wife and step-son.

I've got to have maybe ten or fifteen unused days at water parks and PI laying around the house, or perhaps thrown out by now. Thank goodness we don't have to waste our money on that anymore!

And that does account for some need to raise prices: I think they've probably realized by now that we've realized by now that we can save money this way. The prices have always been predicated on some amount of non-usage, and I bet MYW has significantly decreased the amount of non-usage.

I'm going to the parks in late January. Have yet to pick up the 3 day MYW (park hopper) tix. I'd prefer to wait until closer to the trip to buy them. But if there's hard info on a pending price increase, I'll get them now.

When Disney announces ticket price increases, is it effective immediately, or is it something like "on XX date, the prices will go up"?

By the time there is "hard information" it is typically too late to purchase them at the old price.

I spoke to a manager at the local Disney store about any price changes. She said she just received a new sign and there were no price changes. She said that doesn't mean they wont send a new one in 3 weeks announcing new prices but she doesn't think so. So here's hoping!

Thanks for all your replies, so busy with Christmas just looked at them all today. I think I'll buy before the 31st!!.

Question regarding the Annual Pass (with park hopping, no water parks): Do you have to be a Florida resident? :confused3

The are Annual Passes available for Florida residents, and Annual Passes available for non-Florida residents.

Just thought I'd bump this up since it really does seem that all tickets are going up January 2006. Luckily, I already have an AP for our Oct trip!
