Ticket price increase coming at Walt Disney World!

Usually the multi day increase is minimal compared to increases on single day. Until they go to full on tiers with multi-day I don't think they'll go up as much as single day tickets do.

I think it's interesting that Reuters stated in that article that 2-Day tickets were decreasing by $3 a ticket. So, maybe no multi-day increase? I know they're trying to eliminate the one day guest.

So, no more waterpark tickets, unless you add the park hopper option. So, you would have to add the $101.00 option instead of just the 68.00 option. I suppose, in the grand scheme of things an extra $33.00 isn't much. We never hop, but we always do the waterparks. I guess we can hop now! But I'm always too tired!

Yes, this is a huge issue for us...can you buy water park tix on their own?

They lost me a long time ago. Bought DVC at $65 point. Go down there to sit, walk and enjoy the sun. All they get out of me now are the dues. Ok I'll do a quick walk thru of EPCOT and MK. About it.

Don't know if they are the same but sure looks the same. Saw an umbrella going for $40 plus. Walked into home depot it was $5. Of course it didn't have a Mickey logo.

Try checking the prices at that new Toothsome Chocolate Emporium over at Universal. I was over there last night, and was absolutely astounded, and I'm used to theme park pricing. My milkshake was $12 (ok you get to keep the plastic mason jar but still), a mason jar full of cotton candy was $12.95, boxes of chocolates were $31.95 for 12 pieces and $49.95 for 24 pieces (regular Whitman's size pieces, although you get to choose the pieces out of a display case). Loose candy I believe was about $15 a pound. Some of this is getting a bit absurd, to the point where you just have to say no I'm not paying $50 for a box of chocolates.

I see the non resident platinum annual passes are $749 right now, are they expected to go up? The last time we had APs we bought them spring of 2015, don't remember exactly what we paid but I think it was around $650

There wasn't no mention of a price increase on non-resident AP's but it could happened. My wife and I upgraded tonight at GR in the MK just to be safe.

Like others have mentioned. They seem to be striving to keep the "one day" guest away. Between constant 5% increases in ticket prices over the past few years to the "peak" pricing, the price to go just one day or two (like how I remember most of my trips in the 80s and 90s) is just really high compared to what it was probably just a decade ago.

If the price for one day is astronomical. It seems like more value to get that 4 day ticket that makes them only under $90/day. Plus they can "bundle" things now and give great rates on hotels .. or free dining .. etc. to g

Seems like basic marketing. Have the "base" price so high that you have room to offer all sorts of sales and discounts. So anything else looks like a deal in comparison. It's like the Kohls mentality. The "normal" prices are so high that their constant sales at 30-40% off look like a STEAL (when in reality the base price is just overinflated to make the sales price look good).

I just assumed it's an effort to make adding one or two day Universal visit to a Disney vacation look like really bad value.

We just bought 3 non resident Platinum AP's tonight just in case they go up. Our trip will be sometime in August so I'd be kicking myself if I went to buy them a few months from now and they were more.

Crazy indeed! Supply and demand... if no one buys the overpriced Items... they ll disappear with another option.
on the other hand... taking a walk down our Main Street will yield you similar results... $15 granola or $20 chocolate...10-$15 cocktails... yup, crazy indeed!

Me too...o so I think, lol

The Fla resident discover disney is a different tix from the Fla resident tix...I think the blackout dates are different. ?...

I'm wondering...IF I buy a new 3 day now..lCan I add the 4 th day for the xtra $20...at he park in future, as they have the current add on price now? ($139..to $159.)

I have purchased 3 days tix already, but may want a second quick visit..not sure if I should buy that now too?
Just found out this was back. We might get this. I don't think this will affect the Fla resident discover disney ticket
