ticket ?? Please help

I am trying to plan our trip and just booked our room with Dreams Unlimited. But I am going to purchase my 5 day park hopper separate because I need to buy them 1 or 2 at a time. I need to get 4 - 2A, 2C. My question is -- the ones I buy at The Disney Store are they the same as you would get if I bought them through DU or at a resort?? I've heard about paper vs. a card?? I'm confused, but my DS did tell me that they got the card ones. So will I still be able to have charging priveleges to my room from it? Or is that my resort key? I'm sooooo confused. Any suggestions would help.

If you buy your passes at the resort, the passes are encoded onto your resort id/room key. Charging privileges may be attached to your resort id/room key regardless of whether your tickets are separate or combined into your id.
