Hello!!

I was just wondering what kind of ticket discounts DFTW gives out for guests. I have the sample save the date and it shows that a 2-6 day park hoppers available but no prices.

I also wanted to give out 1 day park hoppers to the wedding party as a gift. Do they have discounts for that too???? Or just 2 day and more tickets??? :wizard:

Good question, and great idea as a wedding party gift. I hadn't thought about that.

The discount is about $20 per person. There is a discount on the 1 day hopper. Now this is through my website for my guests. I have no idea if this is the same for everyone, so please do not quote me (plus this is for May 07 and the rate will change) But the rate for a 1 day hopper for my guests is about $10.00 less than the regular rate. The more days you buy the better the discount. Hope that helps!

can you elaborate? where are you finding these discounts? how do you order the tickets so that the discount applies??

THe save the dates that DFTW provides gives discounted ticket prices to the guests. I haven't recieved mine yet because I am not at the 8 month mark, but at my last meeting with the WC they gave us a sample of what it would look like and the ticket price dicounts were blank (I'm assuming because they don't know what they are yet for 2007). So I was just asking about what everyone else has found when they got theirs......Thanks to those that have responded!!!

When your Save The Date goes out, your personal DFTW web site becomes active. On your web site there will be a link to activities with another link to purchase tickets. Also with your Save the Date a package of information gets mailed to your guests. This should include a reservation form for your room block and a form telling your guests what the cost of the tickets will be with a purchase option. In my case the 2007 ticket prices were not available when my STD's went out so my guest have to view the prices through my web site. Does that help?

Something to keep in mind, if your are thinking about purchasing tickets for your wedding party you may want to tell them. They will be able to purchase tickets about 8 months before your wedding.

Let me know if you have more questions :)

We are about 5 months and 14 days out from the wedding, when can I expect to receive our 'Save the Date' cards? Just figured they were coming at some point but haven't seen anything. Is this only for custom brides? We are in the 'Intimate' category...

Hmmm I believe they are only for custom weddings ....but i may be wrong!

The save the date cards from DFTW are for customs. We're an intimate as well. You could make your own and include a list of websites that have discounted tickets.

Disney only includes the save the dates with the custom weddings. We originally started as an intimate and i purchased magnetic sheets to print save the dates for my guests, but then switched to a custom. With a custom wedding the save the dates generally go out approx. 2 weeks after the contract has been received back at DFTW.

thanks for the help! can anyone share some sites that have discounted tickets?? we've already purchased ours for the trip but like the idea of getting others for the wedding party... ;)

You can try The Undercover Tourist. We bought our tickets through them last year. Also don't forget AAA sells Disney tickets for any of your guests that are members.

We all bought our tickets though the Disney web wedding website that Disney set up for you. It was about 6 weeks before the wedding that they were able to buy the tickets.
I cannot remember the exact discount, but a 7 day hopper ticket for UK guests is usually around £160, but we got ours for £125, so it was well worth doing it.
