I have a friend who thinks there is a ticket discount for nurses and teachers. I thought that was only a room discount at the Swan/Dolphin. Can you guys help me out?

I've never seen a discount for nurses/teachers, but there is a discount for passes sold on military bases. It is similar to the AAA discount.

I just bought an 5-day park hopper from AAA and paid $220 and I believe it's $255 at the gate. I have read that AAA discounts vary by region, though. I live in Louisiana and bought it from the main AAA office in New Orleans.

Hope that helps!

There used to be a discount through AFT for Theme Parks but WDW no longer particiaptes. I think it is only Six Flags now. :(
I just ordered passes through Ticketmaina.com and they seemed to have a good deal and are reputable.
I have read on these boards that various brokers have just raised prices, Paramount being one.:earseek:
Good luck!!

Thanks for the replies. allicat124 your timer is looking good!! Are you packed yet? And Dismom63, ae you the one who went to St. Rose in Albany and are you staying at the Dolphin (or some other Epcot hotel?) Just trying to keep my threads in order!

Allicat,
When you say "just bought" how recently do you mean? We purchased our 5 day park hopper yesterday for $230.05 and the child was $182.35. You paid $20 less?

Suzflee,

I bought our passes last Wednesday, 2/11!

The adults were $222 and the child was $177. Like I said, I had read that there were differences in AAA prices based on regions. I had read that either on this board or maybe on mousesavers.com. I don't know why there are these differences!

Vanryan,

Unfortunately, I'm not packed. I'm in the "staging" phase. In other words I have stacks of clothes and other things "staged" all over the house. I start putting them in the actual suitcases on Thursday. But by them, everything will be washed and put in their proper staging area! (Or so I hope)

While I'm trying to get things ready to pack, life goes on. You know the usual five thousand things still have to get done: cooking, cleaning, helping with homework, volunteer work, etc!

Anyway, we are all excited and are counting down!!

I'll be sure to post once we're back!

I completely understand the staging areas. If I pack too early, I forget what's actually in there and have to open it up and make sure it's all in there. Not exactly an efficient way to go! Have a great trip :sunny:

Good memory Vanryan! There was someone else around here who went to St. Rose but I did get my MS there. I am also staying at the Dolphin during Easter - yipee!!:jumping1:
I can't wait until I can start packing!! I am actually doing some "pre-packing" organizing:crazy2:
