Ticket/Check-in question?

Hi all, I have a quick question. I have a trip for two booked for July 5 - July 10. I know the parks will be horrendously crowded on July 4, which is a day we had planned to spend at Disney Springs and the resort. Disney suggested I book a one night room only reservation for July 4, since our July 5 - 10 reservation qualified for the 1 free QS meal a day promotion. We currently have 6 day park tickets, but I'm considering upgrading to 7 days and heading to the park (probably HS) just for FP+ rides and a meal at Sci-Fi. The question is - we have two separate reservations, one under my name, the other under my girlfriend's name. The tickets are with the July 5 reservation. Would we be able to use our MBs on July 4th, before the July 5th check-in? Thank you in advance for your replies!

Are both reservations linked to the same MDE account? If so, both sets of MBs will provide the link to all the data.

You'll have to activate the ticket portion of the July 5th package when you arrive on the 4th. After the tickets are activated, you'll be able to book FPs for the 4th. You won't be able to pre-book them along with the rest of your 5th-10th stay.

MBs are connected to your MDE account, not to a reservation. You would have to get your tickets activated at either Guest Services or Guest Relations (it's not either or; I'm just not sure which it is) in order to use them before the package starts, but then yes, you would be able to use the MBs to access the tickets.

Okay, no they are two different MDE accounts. I guess there's nothing I can do to be able to book FPs at 60 days out?

Unfortunately, even if both reservations were linked to the same MDE, you can't pre-book for the 4th. Tickets that are part of a package only activate when you request that once you reach the park. So, plan on activating the tickets and adding on a day when you reach Guest Relations. Book FPs as soon as the tickets are activated.
