I'm heading to Universal with my mom 1/22-1/25 and staying at PBH. There is a chance DH and I will be returning later in the year, so I'm planning on getting a Seasonal Annual Pass for myself and a regular ticket for my mom, since she wouldn't be coming back. Tell me if my strategy sounds right...

-Buy the AP online from Universal now, to pick it up at the gate (I can't pick up an AP at the hotel, can I?)
-Wait to purchase mom's 2 Park 4 Day Park-to-Park ticket until after I activate my AP so I can get 10% off her ticket

OR DO I

-Buy the AP now
-Buy mom's ticket from Undercover Tourist--their current deal is 2 Park 2 Day Park-to-Park Plus 2 Extra Days for $273.46

I can't seem to find gate prices including tax, so I'm not sure which is the better deal. Thanks!

UO.com states "Save $20 off the gate price on all multi-day tickets".

So their gate price, without tax, is 284.99 (added $20 to what they show for a 4 day p2p).

The 10% off for AP would be on the base rate. So that means it's about 256.49 base rate with the AP discount? Plus the 6.5% Orange County sales tax...273.16?

Not the biggest discount vs having it in hand, maybe. If I did the math right. :)

You can get the AP at the universal desk at portofino if its not a flex pay pass.

That's what I was told also.

Thanks! That will make things a little easier. I read conflicting reports on that.

Thank you kindly for doing the math! So if your numbers are correct, I'll save a whopping 30 cents by buying at the gate. :flower1:
