Ticket and Magic Band

My niece is going to Disney next month for a HS choir trip. They were issues the plastic park tickets. She has an old magic band that she would like to link her ticket to. Her ticket shows up under MDE and her magic band show active. How do were merge the two so she can use the band or is the ticket already linked to it?

If they both show, make sure the ticket is under HER name in MDE.
If not, transfer it there. Otherwise, that's it.
(Send the ticket with her, just in case.)

Based on what you described, the ticket should already be linked. The Magic Band does not contain any information, it just points back to the associated MDE account.
