Ticket activation for fast pass

If we buy our Disney tickets from a different website do they need to be activated in order to set up fast passes? March 2nd will be our 60 day window so hoping we can book fast pass without activation.

Your tickets just need to be linked to your MDE account - I don't know what you mean by "activated".

Are they military salute tickets? Those are the only ones I know of that require activation before use. But even those can be linked to your MDE in advance using the confirmation number on the exchange certificate. That allows advance booking of fastpass.
