Thrifty's "Standard Special"

I booked a car with Thrifty through Expedia, for 5/4-5/12, "Standard Special" which is supposed to be a mid-size or larger, they pick the car. It came to about $250 with taxes, which is a better deal than anything I've found so far. Has anyone done this before? Are they just going to give me some beat-up clunker nobody else will rent? I do need at least a mid-size car.

Actually if you book with Thrifty using Orlando Magic Code ID 004m001010 the total with taxes for the Wild Card (midsize or larger) is $212.61. It also includes free additional driver which normally runs $10/day extra.

Thanks Webworm, that is a great deal! I'm just hoping they don't give me some huge gas guzzler, as we'll be doing a bit of driving beyond Disney.

You might find something better as your dates get closer. We booked the Wild Car promo for our upcoming Spring Break trip--it was the best deal at the time. Now rates have gone down and there are no more 'wild cars' available. So, I'll probably modify it and choose my car class or go with a different company altogether. The possibility of getting a bigger car for a smaller car price was alluring at first, but not when it's $50-$80 more. (And not guaranteed.)
