We have reservations w/ Thrifty and Alamo. Both are mid-size cars. Thrifty is 36.00 cheaper. I wasn't sure about going w/ Thrifty b/c of the shuttles, but after reading the reviews here and talking to DH, I think we are going to go w/ them.

I am wondering how far the Thrifty location is. 5 minutes, 10 minutes... does anyone know?

It's a 5 minute wait for the shuttle, a 5 minute ride to the terminal and a 5 minute check-in at the desk. It's a total of about 10-20 minutes from the time you get to the curb with your luggage to the time you're sitting in your rental car.
No Problem.

I've rented from Thrifty (twice, I think - hard to remember!) Their facility is only about 5 minutes from the terminal, barely even off the airport's actual property.

Because it's so close, the wait for the bus is pretty short. The biggest delay is actually getting all the people and luggage on and off the bus at each end of the trip.

Don't be nervous about renting from Thrifty. I have always thought that it's worth the time to go to an off-site rental place if I save $30 or more, and since you're saving more than $30, you're set.
