thrifty Car rental

Anyone use this place? They seem to have good deals. Is this place located at airport or do we need to take taxi to it? If it is at airport do I have hubby go get car while we get luggage or do we wait for luggage and then go get car together?

I used them recently (not in Orlando though) and I probably won't use them again. There was an engine problem with the car we rented and they kept insisting that we take it to the dealer to get it fixed. Sorry but I'm not spending my vacation at a car dealership . Eventually they gave us a new car but it was very time consuming and aggravating.

It's too bad because they had the cheapest rate.

They have good rates most of the time (keep checking for lower) - I joined blue chip long ago, we just get on the shuttle after picking up our luggage and give our name and then we go to the special blue chip counter and sign and drive. Never had a problem with the cars. My brother was a die hard hertz guy, thrifty rates and my rave reviews made him check it out last year.. well he raved about how great an experience he had and swore the trip to the offsite place was still faster then the last hertz line he waited in.

Used them last year and got a great rate with BlueChip. ($91 @ week for mis size)

Pickup took a little time and there was a large scratch on the side which I had to document for the recordd before I take it but Pickup and drop off was smooth through there shuttle bus.

Just allow enough time for transport on the drop off, sign up for Bluechip , and make sure you inspoect and document any issues with teh car and they were great!

Just used them last week in Orlando. The line was long about 45min-60min. They did a hardcore upsell for an upgrade at the counter. I ended up haggling with the guy and got a GREAT deal for a DURANGO (gas guzzler) which worked out perfect with our group for luggage and for the rest of the group meeting us down there. At MCO they have all Chrysler stuff, Caliber, Sebring, Magnum, Pacifica, Charger, Durango, Caravan, 300C so you know what you will get. Overall they werent bad
