We've always rented from Dollar, but we seem to be getting a better deal with Thrifty. Is Thrifty also in the airport? Has anyone ever had any problems with Thrifty?

They are basically the same company. We used Thrifty last year and had no problems at all. If you use the Orlando Magic Card corporate code you get a free additional driver. (It doesn't say in full size or above cars but someone posted that they had reserved a mid size and they wouldn't honor it. ???)

We used the Magic Card code last year at TPA for a midsize and they honored the free additional driver. On the magic card website it doesn't say it has to be fullsize or larger. Sounds like a counter person making up their own rules.

I used Thrifty and really liked it (but that was at TPA). Only problem I had was I reserved a midsize and was given a Dodge Calibur and the girl acted like she was giving me a free upgrade but I find out now that the Calibur is a compact :confused3

At TPA we did have to check in at the counter but they have a line for Blue Chip and it was quick and painless. Return was even easier they just scanned the car in the garage and we were done.
