Animal Kingdom Lodge- and Animal Kingdom is my favorite Disney park.
Avocados- sliced with a little lime and salt, as guac, on toast.
Acadia National Park- When I worked in Bar Harbor, I could look out my lab window and see Cadillac Mountain.

I’m a bit behind….

Shows / Plays
I’m not gonna pick specific ones on this particular mention it’s actually going to the place we have a theater during the summer that you can go in the seats in the back are free first come first serve and we would go there to watch shows during the summer so you could go and watch them for free I will also buy tickets upon occasions to go and watch shows this is not for the faint of heart because it’s hot it’s humid there are no fans there was no shade but these were real productions for shows I often wondered how those poor actors could do this every night in this 90° heat with all this humidity but I enjoyed seeing those shows they were so good I have very fond memories of doing this a lot when I was younger

The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast two of my all-time favorite shows that I seen multiple times thankfully indoors in our beautiful theater that we have

Every year for years and years we will go see a Christmas Carol it was a tradition that we did when our kids were little we also would see the Nutcracker upon occasions and me and my sister would go listen to the symphony play Christmas music

Letter A

Animal Kingdom Lodge It is one of my all-time favorite hotels And it was my first DVC hotel It was the first hotel I ever stayed concierge in which I have done several times and because of DVC that’s the only way I could stay concierge Not only is it a beautiful hotel absolutely gorgeous but where else can you walk out on your balcony and see animals Let alone the fact that it truly makes you feel like you were in Africa I loved it so much that I turned my bedroom into an African themed room
I literally bought out the gift shop
I have a lot of stuff to decorate my room with that makes it look like it’s a room from Disney themed in Africa

Apples - Apple pie is one of my most favorite pies

Bonus A I have to mention my aunt she was a big factor in my life growing up
I miss her so much She was more like a mom to me We used to do so many fun things we did crabs she would pack us lunches and little pails you know like ice cream comes in these days big bucket pails and she would pack our lunches in them and send us out into her yard like we were on a safari She always had fun things planned for us to do when you have to understand that my aunt had polio and it never stopped her from doing anything she was an amazing woman and I never thought it was fair or right that she had to die from cancer wasn’t bad enough that she had polio

It’s an IPhone - I had to wait several years for my carrier to start carrying and allowing iPhones I’m so excited when they finally started doing it so I could get an iPhone
Granted this was years ago but it just made me so happy that I could finally get an iPhone

That has the Internet and I can talk to anybody anywhere or text them and it doesn’t cost a fortune to do it and I can do it all day long remember the old days he had to wait till after seven to call long distance and it cost a fortune?? don’t even think about calling an international holy cow that was like an act of God to do that because it cost so much

Internet I can look up anything anytime I can order anything I want I can have food delivered to my house I can have my groceries delivered to my house I never have to leave my house it’s like heaven

Happy Saturday Everyone

I love everything about my phone, but I’ll narrow it down to my 3 most used apps/festures….

#1 - CALENDARS - I’m grateful that they keep my life in order. The one that came with my phone is used for my miscellaneous stuff only and let me tell you….so much is in that calendar. I have an app called Cozi that we all have that we all put our doctors appointments and family events in.

#2 - ALARM CLOCK - Another thing I’m grateful for to keep my life in order. I use this all the time to remind me to do stuff. For example…..I stopped at the meat market yesterday before work to buy some ground beef for dinner. I put it in the refrigerator at work and then set my alarm to go off when I left for lunch. I guarantee that if I didn’t set that alarm, I would have walked out the door and forgot to take that meat with me. When my alarm goes off at home at where times my husband askes me - what’s that reminding you to do?

#3 - CONSTANT COMMUNICATION - PHONE/TEXT/FACETIME - I am very grateful to have constant communication with friends and family, mostly family. With my DD22 being 2 1/2 hours away, I love being able to FaceTime with her almost every day. I also love the fact that her and I text each other several times a day. It really puts my mind at ease to know that she’s OK and safe.

Phone ...

Google Maps - navigates me everywhere from around my own city to foreign countries, I can hardly believe there was a time when I used paper maps for all of that.

Photos - Nice to not have a separate camera I have to haul around

Texting - usually prefer this to talking

Connection and Re-connection

I use my phone to post daily in this, our kind, thread

I agree Jalepeno Pretzel about how handy texting can be

Grateful for my cell phone because:
I can Face Time with my beautiful daughter.
It could save my life in an emergency.
I can keep vital information and documents on it.

 

[WLWildlife]

Photos that I view for myself, share with others, or receive from others.

Email and texting that keeps me in contact with family and friends no matter where they are and on their schedule since we may not be in the same time zone or working the same shift.

GPS makes navigation so much easier.

Calendar to track appointments and make sure I get everyone there.

Clock, alarm and timer so I stay on time.

Internet so I can learn new things everyday.

1 Connection to everything - email, text, phone cal, internet, banking, etc.
2 GPS - saved our marriage!
3 Monitoring wait times at the parks. I even look at the time while at home to see if I’m missing out on a good park day. Is that strange?

Afternoon all,

1. It's design - I have one of the Samsung Z Flip phones and love it's design. When it's closed, it's so small and handy and much lighter than my old phone. It has a great screen on the front flip cover too so most of the time I don't even need to open the phone. It's really handy for taking photos too with it's folding options and I adore being able to close the phone to hang up on calls, rather novel

2. Maps - like so many of you who've said this already, the maps and navigation features are essential either at home or when travelling.

3. Portable connectivity - just the fact that you're carrying around a phone that has all these different apps allowing you to connect to anything and view anything wherever you are.
