Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Die Fledermaus- This Strauss operetta contains my favorite aria to use for auditions. It has this amazing cadenza that is most sopranos’ dream.

Annie- I fell in love with it years before the movie. I saw it for the first time on broadway when I was 5. It was utterly magical. I met Annie of the time, many of the other actors, the original Sandy and the amazing Bill Berloni (animal trainer). Annie taught me so many skills as sort of a home vocal lesson… for years.

Show choir- it gave me a chance to blend my dance background, my singing background, my choreography abilities and love of musical theater.

Afternoon all,

I'm going with my favourite shows that I've seen at the theatre:

1. The Shawshank Redemption - one of my all time favourites films and this was an incredibly well done stage adaptation.

2. Ghost Stories - I saw the film before the stage show, despite the stage version coming first, and I loved the film and loved the play even more. I adore a horror/scary play, especially when the audience behaves themselves and doesn't talk through it.

3. Inside No 9 - possible the best theatre show I've seen in a long time. Based on the tv show of the same name, it also features the 2 show stars and comedic legends, Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith. Not only getting to see them in person was amazing, but the show itself was incredible. Funny, scary and really well done.

Okay citrus this is not biographical time... but three elements you are grateful 😔😔😔😔

Being the largest child in the elementary school and 📢 📢 🔊 🔊 📢 able to broadcast dialogue... I was the lead actor in grade 3-5 pageants for the holidays.... this was the platform for making me an extrovert once out of clicky high school...on the university campus I was able to do gospel ministry puppet shows and skits

Grateful for the USO on times square with the free Broadway show tickets and USMA chartered buses to NYC for soldiers. There was an alley there that a poster for the lamb 🎭 🎭 🎭 theater 1983 of a woman in dreadlocks and the singular name whoopi...yeah right... like that is going to amount to anything.. that is why it's called off Broadway

Romeo and Juliet....tuff stuff for freshman...even I struggled with it...so I had puzzles/games,/newspaper headlines and when the student was assigned oral reading they choose the cover of a personality on magazines and held and used the accent of the famous star.... Robin Williams was a great mercutio and Arnold a great tybalt
