Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Well.. tropical storm Alvin has decided that he would rather go to six flags Texas then Disneyland... so just showers instead of a front about 5:00

Cooing doves cacophony this morning with slight clouds and pressure system it was loud.. filled the πŸŒ„ πŸŒ„ πŸŒ„ with unnerving noise... like a hitchkok movie.. warning Storm a coming...a first for me

Blooming cactus 🌡 🌡 🌡 except for the green visual above all other cactus blooms only last 24 hours and peak is now over. The above cactus has a bloom like a large chocolate chip muffin 🧁 🧁 🧁 and all those chips sprouts with delicate petals and fantastic fragrance.. but you need a ladder πŸͺœ πŸͺœ to see the blooms and no fear of 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝

Seeds. Our plants are heat resistant and need rootball water. Two flowering shrubs don't need water at all for several years but we don't have those, instead delicate shrubs that have seed pods and when dry SNAP so loud in the evening that the to dogs jump. This spring I have potted Palms..they are the easiest plant to start and are protected under the shade of the snapping shrub...so... I have 2 plants growing in the same pot for November farmers market

Good morning everyone :)

God willing, I will go home a week after summer has started and sometime before the season ends be fully back to normal.
SUCH EXCELLENT NEWS!! :cool1::banana::cheer2:
So when half of the 32 lots on our 1 of 3 sections of lane are empty.. imagine our summer gratefulness
I getcha, in reverse. My family lives in a beach destination on the southern Maine coast, so we get this in the summer, from Memorial Day thru Columbus/Indigenous People's Day. I swear, there are days you can walk down Rt. 1 faster than drive it. A commonly seen bumper sticker there is "They call it tourist season... can we shoot them?" DISCLAIMER: This is humor, NOT advocating violence!

I'm too far behind to play catch-up. It's been a horrible week since we learned that my BIL most-likely has central nervous system lymphoma. Still waiting for the DNA results but they are going ahead with spinal taps, marrow aspiration, 4 MRIs, CT and PET scans because the survival odds of not treating asap are horrifying... we are talking weeks. We are just a mess. My sister is physically handicapped and can't care for herself, so I may be mostly relocating to NOLA for the foreseeable future, as BIL's treatments call for week-long hospitalizations, once a month for 12 months. DSis can't live alone, and I have the most flexible job, so... NOT complaining about this, but our hearts are broken right now. Sorry to dump on you guys, but it's hard to be the strong one in the family all the time.

Happy Sunday Friends

@leebee - I’m so sorry to hear about your BIL and how this will turn so possible diagnosis and how it will turn so many lives upside down. You’re a wonderful person to go take care of your sister. I’ll keep everyone in my prayers at Mass today

#1 - Our 30th Wedding Anniversary - On June 3rd ❀️

#2 - Father’s Day - I love celebrating all the wonderful dads in our family πŸ’™

#3 - The Start Of Summer - It’s my favorite season πŸ˜Žβ˜€οΈ

Double letter

slEEp- grateful for it when I can get it.

bOOts- I love footwear in general but I really love boots. I finally wore my new ones this week due to an unexpected trip into the office on Tuesday.

eGGs- I love them and eat a lot of them. I also usually keep a container of egg whites handy.

June

Less traffic with kids out of school.

Less demands for the kids with school being out.

Beginning of summer travel. There’s a lot of work chaos going on making it even nicer to get away.

June

1. My birthday - while I'm too old now to bother much about presents or get excited about my birthday, I do enjoy the meals and drinks and general celebratory nature of it all. Never one to pass up an excuse to eat and drink to my hearts content!

2. Lighter nights and mornings - I love June as its the brightest time of the year with the light evenings and light mornings, before it starts going darker again.

3. Holidays - not always but June this year signifies a holiday for me, a cruise in 13 days and I can't wait πŸ₯³πŸ›³οΈ

LeeBee: I am so sorry to read about your BiL. Such a shock for the whole family. You must be reeling from all the decisions that have to be made so quickly. Your sister is lucky to have you in her life. Please stay connected with us if you can. Even support from online friends can be helpful when you are dealing with something like this. Sending prayers to you and your family.

Thank you dear Leebee and huge prayers with love my friend. Thinking of you.

Happy June birthday to you, Clappyclaps :)

Dear Slo, Father's Day for sure is a blessed day indeed. God willing I look forward to celebrating with my beloved dad.
