In regard to yesterday's topic/post, after a lot of introspection and thought, I'll say my mother-in-law. I know, believe, and felt that she truly loved me, just as she loved her daughters and sons. We lost her unexpectedly on Thanksgiving of 2018, and life has been different ever since.
Numbers...
I have turned into a math geek in my old age, so MATH!!
My wrist watch. It's analog, not digital, and I love knowing what time it is. I don't have a phone and nobody wears watches anymore (because they have phones) so I am really happy I bought a watch.
My scale. I know, the woman has lost her mind!! After decades of being anywhere from overweight to morbidly obese, I finally had bariatric surgery and lost a LOT of weight. I have managed to keep most of it off (there's about 5 pounds I wiggle around with), and seeing the numbers on the scale each morning reinforces that I did lose weight successfully, and I have kept it off... and don't hate myself for being weak anymore.
