Three Things...Gratitude Thread

1. Billy Joel is for sure my favorite artist. I've always loved his music!

2. I love listening to JOY fm - our local Christian radio station. I've always had a laid back personality, but I feel like it is so calming and truly brings me peace listening to it. The DJs are all so friendly and make you feel like they are one of your friends! I just love it!

3. I play the piano and am so glad I learned it as a child. My mom was our church organist for pretty much her whole life. She just stepped down from it about 2 years ago at 78 and she started when she was 16. She was so talented! Due to being inspired by church music, one of my goals is learning to play guitar. I love when people can play and lead others singing praise music. Such a good talent to have!

Music:
1. Grateful that our school district has an incredible music program. My girls all learned to play an instrument when they were in elementary school. None of them stuck with it, but they all had the opportunity to find out if band orchestra was their “thing”.
2. Band—I played the flute throughout school and the various bands that I was mostly where I made my friends.
3. Taylor Swift—we went to her concert in our town this summer. It was a little bit crazy—outfits and tailgating and a very long day, but my girls loved it and I enjoyed their excitement.

Boxes:
1. Frozen pizza—not the highest of cuisine and not typically a planned for dinner, but sometimes when the day falls apart or the plan goes awry, frozen pizza saves dinner.
2. Tea—I love tea and it comes in boxes.
3. Presents—most presents come wrapped!

Good chilly Monday morning - so cold in my house right now.

#1 - I’m grateful for my cereal - I love my morning cereal.

#2 - I’m grateful for Kleenex/tissues - I hate using toilet paper when we run out before I get to the store

#3 - I’m grateful for instant mashed potatoes - we‘d rarely have mashed potatoes without them - I don’t have time to make mashed potatoes from scratch.

Newski_Mom, I love that there is a Christian radio station out there called JOY! :)

Bobbiwoz:grouphug:thank you from me, too.

Jell-O Instant Chocolate Fudge Pudding is a reliable treat and staple in a way, too.

Kroger pancake mix and hot chocolate are also two boxed items I enjoy daily :)

Dad enjoys some boxed granola cereals and chewy bars.

Kleenex Ultra Soft is something dad and i sure use a ton of that's in a box.

Amazon and other packages absolutely mean so much especially now during the ongoing pandemic to get. We both appreciate extra all the delivery drivers!

These days, so hard to find but fun, 100 piece jigsaw puzzles from Dollar Tree.

Gifts are fun, more to give :)

Boxes . . .

Target orders. I love the boxes that have the graphic of Bullseye driving a delivery truck. I use a lot of the boxes to wrap gifts later, to throw the recipient off the scent.

Groceries. So many groceries come in boxes, and I can’t imagine what it must have been like to buy food when they didn’t. They also stack so well in the pantry!

In honor of everyone who is waiting for Friday deliveries, cell phones. It’s so exciting to unbox some new tech and take it out for a spin . . .

The Chewy Box (a.k.a. "The Peanut Butter Box") - In my case, it brings kitty litter, so I don't have to haul those huge heavy tubs in and out of the grocery cart, car, etc.

Puzzles - I am in a big jigsaw puzzle phase right now, and I love them!

Care Packages - My mom used to send the best college packages! And I later had fun sending them to my brother, nieces, and DS.

Boxes:

1. I love Amazon packages - I order way too much from them, but it's so easy and nice to get things delivered right to your doorstep (or even in your garage)!

2. I have a hard time getting rid of said boxes and I tend to keep them in our storage room in the basement. DH asked me the other day when he went down there if I was planning on moving again lol! I love selling things on Ebay and you never know what kind of box you're going to need, so I have a hard time getting rid of them!

3. Cereal boxes - I sometimes buy the cereal that comes in the big bags, but it's so much more difficult to store and handle when using! I almost always regret not just buying it in the boxes!

Things in Boxes...

Trader Joe's Pita BIte Crackers. These are my favorites, but Target makes a Sea Salt cracker that is pretty good, too.

Chocolates. There is a place in Rowley, MA called Winfrey's Fudge and Chocolates. It's AMAZING! DH loves chocolates, especially the cream filled ones. His grandparents owned a store with a candy counter, and the big treat was being able to have Just One Chocolate when he went to visit. When I get down to Mass, I go to Winfrey's and get him a box of chocolates. They hand pack, so I can pick exactly what I want for fillings, how many of each, dark or milk, etc. I guess they are good- I am not a very big chocolate fan- but DH's face lights up when I bring him a box of chocolates from Winfrey's!

Shoes. Because of my orthopedic problems, I can't wear regular shoes- I only wear Crocs- but I love it when someone else in the family gets shoes because I use shoe boxes for SO many things!

I'm grateful for my diet Coke - I'm not a coffee drinker, so that's how I get my caffine!

I'm grateful for phone calls - my DDs call my pretty often and I love talking to them!

I'm grateful for conferences - I have a work conference tomorrow. I have to drive about 2 hours to get there, but I enjoy meeting people who do similar jobs as me and I feel like I always learn something new!
