Three Things...Gratitude Thread

I should have known it would be easy for this group!

:cheer2: I'm so glad everyone here found the thread, and I absolutely love reading the responses every day!!

Glad you did! (...and I just noticed your tag. - That's so sweet!!)
Grateful for you again, PollyannaMom, for this daily chance to re-focus, in a world where it's so easy to be disgruntled. :flower3:

"Gratitude Turn-Arounds"

1. This one goes way back in years. We lived in an older apartment, and had a new baby. We smelled gas one night and called the gas company. They found out that someone had put an old gas line over a light fixture in the kitchen and had never capped it off. It was leaking gas and they made us leave until they turned it off and aired the place out. If I had lit the stove (gas), or ex had lit a cigarette, we could have blown the place up
2. I am grateful to have appliances that make our lives easier, even if we hate to vacuum, do laundry , iron , etc
3. Being able to take a garden full of nothing but dirt, and turn it into a season of vegetables, even if it is a lot of work.

I love this thread..thanks again @PollyannaMom

As a result of having the MOST CHALLENGING student of my 22 year career, my incompetent paraprofessional was replaced by a superior paraprofessional.

Pandemic happened, and I ended up with a better teaching position and huge classroom with better views.

Pandemic happened, and my daughter returned to art school and got a much better career.

3 Hobbies or Activities You're Grateful For
So... really I feel like my answers for "things you know how to do" are the exact same for this. So I hope I'm allowed to repeat?? 'Cause I can't think of other hobbies.

1. Reading
2. Singing/Worship
3. Swimming

"Gratitude Turn-Arounds" - 3 times you were (or could be) grateful when things go wrong or you have to do stuff you'd rather not
1. When fighting rush hour traffic -- At least I have a car and a job.
2. House repairs -- At least we have a house!
3. We're currently trying to do battle with "pantry moths." At least we have food. And enough food for them to thrive. Ha!

I should have known it would be easy for this group!

And we are so glad you are hosting this thread and keeping it going - i think it’s safe to say we all love it ❤️ Thank you for everything you’re doing with this thread.

daily puzzles - I play Wordle and Nerdle, and enjoy them both as an intellectual challenge and as a way to connect with people. - I belong to the threads for each of them here, and also often share scores by text with far-away family members.
At some point each day I enjoy Wordle along with Worldle (country silhouettes) and Framed (guess the movie from the stills given) --- and, now, I include this thread. THANK YOU for keeping it going PollyannaMom!
Today's Topic (Wed. 11/16) - 3 Things in Nature You're Grateful For
Oh so many, but I promise to stick to 3. :D

Now, I'm wondering if you just mean flora, or also fauna? I better stick to flora or 3 is impossible!

1. I know large waterfalls are awe-inspiring (Niagara is!) and are just as natural, but I really appreciate the sound and energy of water running over rocks and stones in streams.

2. Trees. Trees. Trees. One of the most relaxing things is lying on grass looking up through swaying branches and fluttering leaves to the sky.

3. Wild flowers. I love it when a colourful flower pops up out of nowhere and love seeing flowers on the sides of roads (especially some with clusters of yellow flowers per stem - haven't identified them yet). Daisies are a favourite, but there are so many...

3 Things in Nature:

1. The bluebirds, cardinals, hummingbirds, and all the birds that sing in my yard.

2. Sunrises and sunsets. We've been blessed with a new day and a beautiful way to end one.

3. Squirrels. They get a bad rap, but I adore them.
I want to like your post - but for the squirrels! LOL :D

Grey (non-native) squirrels are such a problem in the UK. Now if you mean cute little red squirrels...

Hey Hey Hey.....It's Hump Day!!! :dogdance:

Let's see....three things in nature I'm grateful for :scratchin

Rain when I'm not in the mood or don't have time to water my flowers - always grateful for that ::yes::

The deer when they stop by to visit. I've lived in my house for almost 19 years, and I still always stop to watch them from my front room window.

Trees when they change colors in the fall - I just love looking at them - so beautiful

Squirrels. They get a bad rap, but I adore them.

Me too! People here complain about squirrels eating at their bird feeders, but I find them just as fun to watch as birds, maybe even more. (So I'll count squirrels and birds together as #1.)

#2 - The leaves changing in the fall - I'm so grateful to live where we have an autumn season.

#3 - Just being outside in the sunshine - it does wonders for my mood!

1.Butterflies...I swear after I lost my parents there were butterflies around me within a day or two of their passing
2. Changing leaves
3.Otters, Wombats, Quokkas, Capybaras, Pandas...all animals that don't seem like they're real creatures LOL
::yes::::yes::::yes:: Yes to butterflies and the changing of the seasons and cuddly-looking creatures. (I had to look up quokkas - they're hilarious! :D)

There's something about - occasionally - walking in the rain and just letting yourself get wet. It's not always practical, but it's very freeing.

::yes::::yes::::yes:: And yes to just being out in the sunshine, especially when you can feel some warmth on your skin.

I'll stay away from the squirrels :D:D since I seem to have 3 regularly digging up the lawn! (Though, I do try to tell myself they're helping aerate it.)

1 God's blue skies and sunshine are always an extra blessing

2 Rainbows

3 How God has grown His Christmas Tree that He's trusted my dad and I to tend to since we got it in 2014. I no longer have the ornaments, picture, or even that cross (have gifted them on but that gives you an idea of Evergreen's size in December 2014) Today, Evergreen Christmas tree is much taller even back in August. Dad and I do get a similar size potted tree each year. God has placed in my heart the call to try and find a friend to adopt the tree come January (God-willing the tree is still healthy) to plant and care for it. This has been a joyful extra blessing.
