Three Things...Gratitude Thread

3 Things in Nature
Are you really going to make me stick to three? Can I use my three from "hobbies" on this one since I repeated the exact same answers from another day for that? lol

1. Mountains. I always joke that if you ever made me move from Missouri, I'd BETTER have a mountain view from my house!
2. Stars/galaxies/nebulas, etc.
3. Rainbows

Today's Category (Thurs. 11/7) - 3 Things You're Grateful for about Thursdays
I love this topic - the office I work for is closed on Thursdays.
I’m not sure I can narrow this down to 3, but I’ll try….

Thursdays are the day I get most of my errands done so I don’t have to go out over the weekend. I‘m grateful for this because the stores aren’t as busy - it’s great!

Thursday mornings are one of my workout mornings and I love my workout mornings. I’m grateful for this so I can stay in shape and stay strong. I don’t workout for vanity reasons, I workout for health and wellness reasons. I’m ok with getting older, but age is not going to get the best of me - I will do what I can to age strong and healthy.

Thursdays are the day of my little second job from 2:00pm - 9:30pm. I’ve been doing this since August when DD19 went away to college. This job is at her job, which is where she trained and we practiced together since she was 11yrs old. She’s worked there for 3 years and the owner asked me if I’d fill in a little for DD19 when she left for school. I told him I’d help him out on Thursdays, and when DD is home then she’ll work and I’ll stay home. He liked this arrangement, so now I go there and I love it. I’m grateful for this opportunity because I’m seeing several of my softball friends that have DDs still playing travel, because they are younger. I get to work with the owner, who I consider a friend and I’m meeting lots of new people. After working with the public for 35 years, I need to be around people, so this has been great for me, and he’s paying me well for it 🙂👍🏻

It’s almost Friday
It’s not Monday
It’s the only day I’m required to go into the office !!
Seriously I’m grateful for all days - but I love certain days more than others - BUT find yourself without a job when you need one and you find yourself grateful for those days - so I’m grateful I have Thursday’s to go into office to herd my crazy cats 🐈🐈‍⬛

No matter what day it is, right now I'm just grateful that:

I don't have another Dr. Appointment until mid February 2023
I am still alive and able to walk
Others have to agree but I am grateful that I at least seem to have full access to my brain. I have to brush away a few cobwebs from time to time but generally it is still functioning the way it should.

3 Things You're Grateful for about Thursdays

First of all, amen to everything you shared Goofyernmost. Each day of life, health, right mind is a blessed miracle from God! Thank you for that extra reminder :flower3:

1 The fond memory of Thursday evening church choir rehearsals and what a time of extra blessing that truly was for me. God-willing one day I'd love to be part of one of God's choirs again at a church. Ideally, there would be a daytime rehearsal option as I no longer care to be out in the evening.

2 Extra gratitude that dad and I have a second car which pre pandemic I drove. Thursdays is this car's day to be taken on short trips by dad to give it exercise. Thursdays are the perfect day to do this because the car needs to be switched to be parked on our side of the street for tomorrow morning's street cleaning.

3 Thinking in advance to next week, Thanksgiving! A day to give God extra thanks in so many ways. I pray each of you might take even extra time next Thursday to do likewise and also let someone here on Earth who you love and care for know that you do! Today. Don't wait until next week.

Today, Thursday Nov 17 is DH’s birthday!

It’s a day I am alive!

It begins the same wayThankful does!

( I am outside in Dollywood waiting for O Holy Night to begin. It’s 35 and it’s an outside venue. Dollywood does Christmas so very well. It’s worth it!)

Happy Birthday to your DH. Bobbiwoz! Praise God! What a blessing indeed. Prayers you both enjoy a safe and fun trip. O Holy Night is my very favorite Christmas carol. I can just think about it and get goosebumps in awe and humbled EXTRA thanks to God!
