Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Sorry for the late post - was out running errands part of this morning.

I'm outside with one of the cats right now, and she is staring intently toward the trees with bird sounds coming from them, so I'll take that as a sign:

Today's Topic (Sat 1/7) - 3 things you're grateful for...that can fly

Flying Things I'm Grateful For:

Birds - I enjoy seeing them at the feeder and even have a little guide book to identify some.

Butterflies - My little cousin just made me a bunch of butterfly pictures when she was here the other day, and it makes me smile to look at them.

Airplanes - because they get me to places that would be an awfully long drive much faster!

Fly:

1. C130s - my Dad was a navigator on these planes his entire military career. From Vietnam to the 90s. He made it safely through those years and provided well for us.

2. Hummingbirds - my now deceased FIL LOVED them. He fed them, collected figurines, the whole gambit.

3. Ladybugs - just because :)

3 things you're grateful for...that can fly

1 By the Love and Grace of God, each and every one of us! But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31 NKJV)

2 Birds and God's real butterflies. I'm not a big fan of butterflies on things.
3 Snail mail that "flies" through the air to deliver extra faith, friendship, and smiles.

Happy Saturday Night

Flying things…..:scratchin

#1 - I’m grateful for airplanes āœˆļø. Makes going on vacation quick and easy when you don’t have time to drive.

#2 - I’m grateful for Cardinals - I just love them and I have several that come in my backyard and hang out in the bush by my kitchen window.

#3 - I’m grateful when my DD19 successfully hits a sac fly during a game. Even though I’d much rather have the ball go over the fence, if there’s a runner on 3B, I’m ok with the sac fly.

Appreciating things that can fly

Garden robins that land very close by when you're gardening in the hope of treasures in turned-over soil.

Aeroplanes. Some of my best memories are from travelling. ...And, hopefully, more to come.

Owls. I love hearing them call to each other at night.

Special mention for puffins and butterflies, too.

1. Rabbits - whether in the yard or because my DD loves them and her nickname is EKBunny.

2. Ronald McDonald - lol - one of my earliest memories is my 5th birthday at McDonald's. Bavk when the Fry Guys, Grimace, the Hamburgler, etc., were still a thing and the playground had the cool things to play on.

3. Robins- they make me happy. They always make a nest on my porch security cam. The funniest thing is when you suddenly have wings or a beak setting it off.
