Three Things...Gratitude Thread

1. Purple in all of it’s shades is one of my favorite colors, so I have many clothing and personal items in purple.

2. My favorite old purple desk chair broken by a parent of one of my students who made herself comfortable in it as it broke under her weight. I have tried multiple times to replace the chair but never found one that I loved as much as that chair. :(

3. Various flowers in my garden: Lilac trees, Irises, Alliums, Hyacinths, Tulips, Roses, Coneflowers, Cosmos, Crocuses, Balloon Flowers, Hydrangeas. WOW. I really do love purple!

I love purple - it's not my favorite color, but I still love it.

#1 - I'm grateful for the new purple bathroom in my house. When we painted these walls, it was the first time I painted walls and I did the majority of it with my DH's supervision. He did help me a little, but I really wanted to do it myself, so he watched and gave me advice as I painted - it looks great!!!:thumbsup2

#2 - I'm grateful for my purple (it's more like eggplant) colored North Face Vest - I love it and DD19 loved it so much too that she would borrow it all the time, so I bought her one for Christmas so she would stop stealing mine :rotfl:

#3 - I'm grateful for the new purple eyeliner that I just bought - sounds trivial, but hey...I like it :teeth:

Purple:

1. I am going to add my vote to the lilacs—I love them! I have a huge bush in the front of my house that so many people compliment and a smaller one underneath my bedroom window—hoping to catch them in bloom on a nice day when I can open my windows. It’s the scent I love, the flowers are fine, but for appearance I prefer peonies (also love their smell though too).

2. Purple potatoes—I’ve convinced myself they are healthier than regular potatoes. I also just think they are pretty.

3. Violets—another pretty purple flower.

1) Well I noticed in the grocery store the other day they we’re putting out Valentine’s Day things.
I am very grateful to have my Valentine in my life.

2) I just had a wonderful Vacation that I am extremely grateful I was able to take.

3) We have begun eating more Vegetables regularly as crudites with either hummus or ranch dressing, and they are so good!

V things:

1. Volleyball—all three of my girls have played and it has been great for all of them.

2. Vacations: love getting away

3. Raw Vegetables—I always have bell peppers and cucumbers cut up and in the fridge, often have carrots, celery and sugar snap peas too. Frequently a part of my lunch and occasionally dinner if I don’t make a salad.

Very Vabulous vo vee vou vll voday
(yep....I just said that - LOL!)

#1 - I'm grateful for the Vets that took care my Sophie dog in her dying days - they were wonderful.

#2 - I'm grateful for being able to Vote.

#3 - I'm grateful for the mini Van that I had for 7 years - lots and lots of great memories made in that Van.

Oooh, veterans is a good one! I'll second that.

And of course the vet and vet tech at my kitties' appointment! They were knowledgeable and gentle, and the girls are now happily sleeping off their tough morning.

Video-chat - what an amazing technology!

3 Purple Things You're Grateful For

1 Purple is the color of the non-alcoholic (I don't drink at all ever so was always extra grateful for this) grape juice the church I was so active in pre pandemic used for Holy Communion. Not a big grape flavor fan but being able to come to Jesus' table in this way each Sunday and know that because the wine was juice with no alcohol, all truly were able to join in, meant so much to me and in fact was in its own way the most sacred about of every service. Quiet time of closer prayer and thanksgiving, talking with Him.

2 Purple is a favorite color of a close family friend named Barbara.

3 Grandma loved lilacs. In a fun children's book series, that still bring me a smile to reread, called My Secret Unicorn the Moonflower is a star shaped purple flower.

V things (I agree with so many of the things already shared)!

1 Valentine's Day first comes to mind since it is near. Plus, in giving praise right now to God's greatest Valentine to us ever in Jesus!

2 Definitely Veteran's

3 Various seasonal decor is fun put out! Lol, I know this is a creative answer! For a true "V" I agree with the privilege of being able to vote.

Happy New Year Everyone! :grouphug:

Thank you for continuing with the thread PollyannaMom. Sorry for being AWOL over the holidays.

3 Random Things: -

I found a nice soft cardigan this morning, which I had forgotten about; it feels really nice to wear.

My education (school and university). It definitely could have been better, but I'm remembering I how fortunate I am to have had even that and for it to have been so well backed up at home. (Or was home education backed up by school?!)

That I'm starting to feel better after being ill the last week. Onwards and upwards... :thumbsup2

Random things I am grateful for today:

1. Comfortable PJ pants. So happy to change into PJ’s at the end of the day.

2. My house is almost back together after putting most of the Christmas decor away.

3. My husband is good at fixing things. Yesterday he figured out the issue with my vacuum (had to order a part so not working yet) but I don’t have to buy a new one. He does this frequently with appliances and electrical stuff.
