Three Things...Gratitude Thread

From the past; Thursdays used to be a great night for TV comedies.

Also from the distant past: Thursdays were a great night to go out. Not as crowded as Fridays, and you just had to get through one more work day afterwards. :)
Good stuff as always and very relatable.

Back in the day loved the Thursday lineup, Friends, Cheers, ER etc

Thursday nights while in college. The local dive had $1.00 pitchers of beer. No one scheduled early morning classes for Friday

Thursdays...

During spring semester and in the summer, everyone works on Thursdays except for ME! We are a 3-generation household so it can get hectic. I love the peace and quiet of my house on Thursdays. (Offset by my Thursdays during fall semester, when my day runs from 7:30am-9pm. Super-exhausting, for sure!)

Thirsty Thursdays! I live in a college town so the local restaurants/pizza places always have food specials on Thursdays (I guess to offset the student alcohol consumption?)

It's Friday-Eve. Only one more day until the weekend!!!

TGIF FRIENDS! :cool1:

#1 - Flavored Sparkling Water - I only drink it in the summer and I look forward to it. I like it over ice and take it to work in my Yeti every afternoon (I come home for lunch). In the colder weather months I take hot green tea or flavored teas.

#2 - Vitamin Water - I love this over ice when I’m in the pool. I drink it other times too, but I especially love it by the pool.

#3 - Slushies - I don’t get these very often, but when I do, I absolutely love them. It’s gotta be a mix of Coke and Cherry in even layers - I’m ver particular about it - LOL!

A nice gin and tonic on a warm Friday evening after a long week at work.

Freshly-brewed iced tea. I only make iced tea during the summer. My favorite is mint. Sometimes I add a little honey, but usually drink it unsweetened.

Iced coffee, the quintessential summer beverage for New Englanders! I take mine with half-n-half, no sweetener or flavoring.

I tend to think fruity cocktails and mocktails when I think summery drinks. We arrived in Anaheim yesterday afternoon and walked over to the Disneyland Hotel for dinner and drinks at Trader Sam’s. We had more than three, but I’ll share a few for which I was grateful last night. Nice to relax with yummy summery drinks after driving about 1,600 miles.

I have never been a real fan of iced coffee until now. DD25 turned me onto one of her creations from Starbucks.

Venti cup with extra ice, 2 shots of Blonde espresso, light caramel drizzle. Then add a Fair Life chocolate protein shake, Awesome!

Happy Saturday Friends

#1 - I’m close to Chicago - I love going to the city. Yes, the crime is there. Yes, the traffic is crazy. Yes, the parking rates break the bank, but it’s ok, because Chicago is always a lot of fun.

#2 - No earthquakes, no wildfires, no hurricanes, no tsunamis, no major blizzards - Kinda makes you wonder why we want to leave here when we retire to go somewhere that has hurricanes - LOL!

#3 - My house is close to stores - I couldn’t live somewhere far away from grocery stores, drug stores and etc. I’m sure it’s peaceful living somewhere far away from places, but I’d rather have convenience over peacefulness/aloneness.

Good Morning :grouphug:

Dad. This extra time God gives us with and for Him day by day.

I'm not a big city fan yet live in one of the biggest cities. It's home and I am so blessed.

Dad and I God willing one day will be able to afford to move. Our location now is convenient for many reasons. A fun example is ::MickeyMoand::MinnieMoare less than an hour away.

Have a great Saturday, friends.

I know my way around and don’t get lost !! Only because I’ve been here for decades but still less stress on me !

I have most major stores within 3 miles ( Target within 1 ) maybe that’s a bad thing 🤣🤣

still fairly safe not the kinds of crimes like in the city - yes we are getting the car break ins and car stealings but not the shootings and robbery like is so rampant in the city I feel safe at night my concern is with wild animals

I do enjoy my pesky deer 🦌- yesterday morning I was treated to a very protective mother with her little spotted baby (adorable ) who I seriously thought was considering coming over to meet my dog 😳😳😳 mommy and baby were about 20 ft apart and baby was headed for my dog 🐕 who was super excited I’m standing there staring at the mother who is stomping her hoof at me and I’m yelling at her NO and the baby keeps coming towards us and I’m getting ready to head towards the house thinking this isn’t gonna end pretty mother’s getting ready to charge me and I’m thinking this needs to stop the baby needs to go to mommy crazy kid 🤣🤣🤣 so after several minutes this going on the baby finally decided I need to hightail over to mom YES you should !! Needless to say my dog was not very happy he kept looking for the deer wondering where they went I’m like you just don’t worry about it 🤣🤣🦌🦌 of course he looks for them every time we go outside especially at night when they are usually outside I think he thinks they’re special dogs 🤣🤣🤣

Anyway I enjoy the wildlife it’s just some of the wildlife I don’t care to run into I’m OK with the deer coyotes not so much rabbits I’m OK with them
