Three Things...Gratitude Thread

I love all the Play-Doh answers! My mom used to make the homemade kind when I was a kid. 😊

And I second gummy candy - especially Swedish Fish!

And I'll add the squishy foam strip that fills in the gap between the air conditioner and the window frame and keeps the bugs from getting in!

(Sun,7/14) - 3 things you're grateful for beginning with M
1. Okay everyone... say it with me... MUSIC! (If you weren't expecting that answer from me, you haven't been paying attention. ;) )
2. Mom!
3. Modern Technology

(Mon, 7/15) - 3 squishy things you're grateful for
1. My sloth stuffed animal/pillow that I sleep with
2. Uh... all my other stuffed animals? (And yest, the sloth one gets his own mention)
3. Pillows. Even if I like thin pillows of almost nothingness. :)

Good Tuesday Morning

We had terrible storms last night, with constant tornado sirens for over an hour, so I’m grateful that everything I see is unharmed from the storm. I was worried about some trees falling on our house. It was a rough and bit of a scary night and storms rarely get me rattled.

#1 - Everything in our Kitchen - I’m sitting in it now. I can’t imagine life without a stove and refrigerator. I could live without a dishwasher & microwave, but I hope to not ever have too - I’m grateful for it all

#2 - Our gazebo and furniture inside - I see it through the kitchen window. This is a new addition and I’ve been loving the summer nights of sitting out there watching TV - it’s wonderful

#3 - My IPad - I’m seeing and using it right now. I use it for everything, because I don’t have a laptop. Pretty soon I’ll be taking it to the gym where I watch movies and/or TV shows while I’m doing my cardio.

Good Morning friends.

Everything that I am so blessed with healthy eyes to see. By my faith what is unseen by at heart.

My devotional and book. The joy and grace of being able to read.

Yellow smile touch light by my bed. It's many years old and still brings me a simple smile and reminder of my faith that no natter any dark times or trial by my belief I have Light and pray to be a kind one in the world.

My home office set up - When I took my work on the road last week, all I had room for was my laptop. I can see it right now and I'm truly grateful for that mobility, but it's tough working off of a singular 14" screen when you're used to using it as a small spare third. In fact, it's usually my "entertainment screen." My two main monitors in my office are each 24" screens. So, 62" of usable screen space for normal functioning. I sat down to work yesterday in my office and I felt so blessed to have my work space real estate back. I'm also back to having my wireless headset. On the road, or when I go into the office, I have a sturdier wired headset that I take. It does the job and doesn't require all kinds of settings changes like the wireless one, but it's so nice to not be tethered to a cord when I take meetings or have to make a client call.

Walking pad - I haven't gotten any use out of it since I hurt my heel, but I will. It's propped up right next to me and I plan to get back to walking and working in August. I feel like a slug without it, but grateful to know it's waiting for me when I'm ready.

Dog's Medicine - She's due for her monthly heartworm/flea/tick meds. I've got the box sitting right next to me. I'm grateful that this singular med works for her and I'm not messing around with multiple medications. I'm also grateful that I came to my senses and switched vets last year. Her old vet was grossly overpriced. The new vet doesn't inflate the price and actually goes out of their way to make sure I get all of the discounts available. Those meds are now so much cheaper. So, also grateful that they care about more than $.

I’m grateful I can see!! I’m grateful for my eyes !!! They don’t always works well but they work so I’m grateful for that!! They have issues and they’re serious so I’m grateful for what I get out of them!! I hope it continues!!!

I’m grateful for my iPhone!! I absolutely love my iPhone ❤️❤️❤️ always have ever since I got my first one

I’m extremely grateful for my house!! 🏠 I love my house and love doing things to my house !!! Well some things🤣🤣

I’m grateful for my crazy pets source of nonstop entertainment and love ❤️

Our one TV in the living room, and right now my DH is watching some funny late night hosts. I am grateful for comedy during stressful times. Having 1 TV for many years has been our choice. It makes for some interesting debates sometimes, but luckily our iPads serve as alternatives. :)

My DH, of course.

My iPad. I finally bought a new one about a year ago. My old one was unable to update beyond 10.2 and this is so much better! (I love having a keyboard also)

A fan! - because it's ridiculously hot here!!!

Television - for daily/weekly routines, shows we connect over, background noise when I'm doing housework, rainy movie days...

Minnie Ears - my collection is hung on my bedroom wall, so I see them every day and and am reminded of special memories ::MinnieMo

Yes! I just got a new one and I'm quite smitten with it :)

That was us a year ago with DD17. She was tired of lugging around her full sized laptop for school stuff and wanted something she could use in college. Of course, she still needed a more compact laptop for college, but that new iPad and keyboard made her senior year so much easier. Her old one was the same issue...too old to update.

Been away for a while—jumping back in:
1. I’m at the office and very grateful for it. DH and I have a small business so it is just the two of us here. We are able to bring the dog most days and I love it here.
2. Phone—mine is old but still works and charges. I will keep it until it doesn’t work anymore.
3. Yeti cup—I carry it around with me all day long. I always have cold drinks and never have to buy one when I am out and about.

The airport terminal. I'm sitting at MSY (New Orleans) waiting for our flight north after an amazing week visiting my sister and brother-in-law. MSY is a great airport and the terminal has quite a few restaurants, quick service places, and bars. We have been able to buy a King Cake to take home with us, so when we are eating breakfast tomorrow in Maine, we can reminisce about our visit in New Orleans!

The baggage handlers. I'm looking out the window and can see them working outside in the hot sun and humidity that is New Orleans. It's 81F out there with 67% humidity and a real-feel of 101F- and these folks are out there, lifting bags and moving things around in this weather. Sure hope they get adequate shade-and-water breaks!

The airplanes, and crew (not that they are here yet). Without planes, it sure would be a long walk from Orono, ME to NOLA!
