Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Happy Sunday!

Sorry I missed yesterday - we left at 6am to go see our DD20, and didn’t get home until 9pm. A long, but fantastic day.

#1 - I’m grateful for the Eucharist - I’m going to Mass soon.

#2 - I’m grateful for eggs - I enjoyed them yesterday when we stopped for breakfast.

#3 - I’m grateful for my earbuds - I always use them when I workout.

Quickie answers for yesterday….

#1 - The forest next to my house is beautiful in the fall
#2 - Mums - I love them
#3 - My DD20s fall games - they are warmer and more laid back then conference games when they are in season (which starts the middle of February, which is pretty darn cold here in Indiana)

Eggs Benedict❤️❤️❤️ - it’s really the sauce I’m in at for 🤣🤣
Envelopes - all the different sizes and shapes colors
Education grateful that you can get one in this country for free release your grade 12
Earrings
Email - you cannot communicate with anybody anywhere you’re no longer limited like you were back in the day with long distance not being able to talk to family and friends now you can

Eternal life! God's promise to me of it and that by His love and Mercy I will get to live in Eternity in service as His Angel. Also be reunited with those I love who have gone onto Glory before me.

Everything/Each Day/Moment is an absolute GIFT, I pray to give thanks for as the precious blessing it is.

Dumbo the flying elephant is indeed a favorite Disneyland ride :dumbo:

I do enjoy almost every night for dinner a scrambled 🥚

Evergreen🎄

Easy seal envelopes are sure handy!

Education for sure!

1. Thanksgiving
2. Trek - the name of the middle school group for Awana
3. Truth (Well... usually... ;) )

(Sat, 9/23) - 3 things you're grateful for about fall/autumn
1. Cooler weather
2. Fall colors
3. The holidays coming up

(Sun, 9/24) - 3 things you're grateful for beginning with E
1. Easter
2. Eggs (Oddly enough, not so much Easter eggs, because I like 'em in an omelet or scrambled... ;) )
3. Employment (and since my employment involves helping others find employment, it's kind of a double answer for me.)

9/22: T things:
Tomatoes... because grilled cheese and tomato soup!
Tap shoes. I was a dancer for a long time as a kid, and DD was also and danced professionally for a while. I took up tap again as an adult until it got to be too much on my knees.
Tootsie rolls- the only kind of chocolate I really enjoy!

9/23: Fall things:
9/23 is DD's birthday; she turned 30 yesterday. Where did the years go? She is my sunshine, the best and brightest part of my life, and I will love her forever and always, because she is my Dear One.
The leaves. I live in northern New England and the fall colors are truly spectacular!
Getting to pull out my sweaters, hoodies, and leggings. It's snuggly season!

9/24: E things:
Elephants. I really like elephants (although giraffe are my #1 favorite). When I did a solo trip to Disney last fall, I took the "Caring for Giants" tour, where we got to see the elephants somewhat up-close, talk with the handlers, etc. It was so cool to be out on the Savanna, watching the safari trucks go by!
Earth... I mean, where else would we live?
Elevators. With my crappy knees, stairs were pretty challenging. Now that I've had knee replacement surgery, going downstairs is still painful. Thankfully, we have elevators at work; with a 4th floor office and lab, I am VERY grateful for this!

Fall Things:

1. Pomegranates are back! I found them in the grocery store today for the first time since February. I love them so much.
2. Fall weather is my favorite.
3. Fall decorations—not a big Halloween person especially the scary, gruesome stuff, but I like pumpkins and mums and colorful leaves and little kids in cute costumes.

So many great "e" ideas!

Mine are...

1. My maiden name begins with "E"

2. I definitely have to go with Eggs along with others - I mostly eat mine scrambled and I also make egg bites for work week breakfasts.

3. Extracurricular activities - I think so important for kids as they go through school. I definitely encouraged mine to participate when they were there.

✏️ Erasers - because we all make mistakes!

I love this - it reminds me of what we did when my kids were little. If they (or I) had a bad morning, or just a bad day and said something that we wished we could take back we would say lets take a Groundhogs Day - we were referring to the movie where his day started the same way every morning - we would just start again and do it better the second time around. It worked well for us over the years!

Few extra E's

Evenings are a blessing in an extra way as are early mornings. Dad and I are so blessed to spend both together as we go through daily life. For me especially these times are also precious for closer Communion with Jesus, My Savior. Times to pray and most of all give Him thanks for all beyond all the privilege I have to know, worship, serve, love, witness, etc and go through life with and for, because of Him.

ESPN that allowed dad to enjoy the Dodgers win tonight

With appreciation and sweet dreams wishes, everyone in this kind thread:grouphug:
