Three Resort Hotel Questions

Question #1: Are guests of GCH still able to use the DLH pool and rent a cabana there?

#2: We’ve never stayed in a courtyard view room at GCH, but are thinking that will be plenty nice of a view. We’re generally not in our room all that much to make a DTD or pool or park view seem worth the additional cost. Plus I’m thinking the courtyard view means closer proximity to the lobby? Please share your experience and thoughts.

#3: Are they still making that offer at the end of your stay to stay one more night at a significantly discounted rate? It’s been about a year since we’ve stayed at a resort hotel, but remember receiving that offer on a regular basis on previous stays. Would love to know if that’s still a somewhat regular offering so that we plan for the possibility of one more night.

I can only answer #2, our stay in 2014 was in a Courtyard/Woods view, which wound up being the woods version. We had a room on the 3rd floor facing DCA, but the aforementioned woods blocked any views. The location was awesome, it was great listening to the park hubbub from the balcony, and I counted 120 steps from the room to the DCA entry!

3. Haven't seen that offer in the last year.

2: we had a courtyard view once. We can somewhat see downtown Disney (if we looked to our right.) It was the wing above Napa Rose. Location was great. At the time, I found this room darker and smaller than other rooms.

3: I have only received this deal once last year. It felt random. A Sunday before school. We were staying at PPH. But have stayed at the resort a few different times last year. Last time we were at GCH (2016), we did not get an offer.
