I was dreaming/planning my first DVC trip last night and these questions came up.

We're staying at the Poly for two nights before moving to BWV. I know Disney will transfer our luggage, but I wasn't sure if BWV will deliver the luggage to our room once it gets there or not?

Since we're flying in and staying at the Poly first, all we'll get on our "grocery stop" is probably some beer & nonperishable snack items. I was thinking of using the high dollar DVC grocery service for the perishables. How does that work?

I'm bringing my DGD8 and a friend of mine from work this trip. My DGD and I are planning on getting AP's this time. (Am I asking for it or what!;) ) For my friend, I was trying to decide which pass would work best with my DGD's and my AP's. I was thinking about getting her a length of stay pass with my DVC discount, but how does that work with us staying two nights at the Poly first? Can this be done? If not, I guess she'll have to go with the hopper.

TIA, Jenifer

BWV will bring your bags to your room.

You can either shop at the BWV store yourself or complete the shopping form (you can get them on the member site) and DVC will stock the room for you.

I don't think you get the DVC LOS discount while staying at the Poly unless you are staying on points. I think you could purchase a LOS at the Poly and then another one at BWV and drop a day on one of them (otherwise they would overlap for one day). However, since you will now be going to WDW regularly, you might want to think about buying a park hopper and then being able to have any unused days available for future guests or yourself.

Does the BWV store have cereal, eggs, lunch meat, milk, etc?

Yes, the Screen Door has those items. You will pay convenience store prices, but the store does have a good variety of items available.

The Bell staff will bring your luggage to your room, but I think you will have to claim it and be in the room. I don't beleive it will be in the room when you arrive, you'll have to initiate the process after it's delivered from the Poly.

Enjoy!

I also agree with the hopper vs. LOS pass. If you end up not in a park one day you really lose out. We just did a 4 day with my SIL and DN, I bought them 7 day passes (from Paramount w/breakfast) they paid for 4 days worth and I paid the remaining 3 and held the passes for whoever goes with us next time. It's a real savings that way

When we stayed at OKW, we shopped for groceries for the trip home and found the prices to be much better than we expected. They were higher than a normal grocery, but significantly less than our local convenience stores.
