Good afternoon dear friends! Congrats disney54us on the 1000th post!

I cheated on my husband David Cook last night. I totally fell in love with the lead singer of Maroon5: Adam Levine. Not my usual type; he's scrawny and tattoo covered. But he oozes sex appeal. He sings and I swear, amidst the hundreds of people, makes you feel like he's singing just for you. He's also very talented: he writes most of the songs and plays guitar and bass. Yummy.

Overall, the concert was great. We had fantastic weather. Sara Bareilles is a good perfomer, sounds just like her album. She gave little ancedotes of the songs and was utterly charming. Maroon5 rocked out and had a fantastic light show. Counting Crows came on last, and played mostly from their newest (and unfamiliar) album. A lot of people got up to leave toward the end, I think due to the song set and that it was a Wednesday night.

We had two bathroom breaks at the beginning and the end of the show. My niece and I rocked out. I realized I had taken the twins to their first concert at the same age; I guess its a new tradition. Now I'll have to take my younger nephew to his first concert in two years.

My town has been taken over by squealing teens in anticipation of the Jonas Brothers tonight. All over there are cars with writing on them declaring their love for all things Jonas. I can only imagine the high pitches of tonight's event. Its raining now, I hope it clears up by tonight.

Ok, Racetrack, I'll move my date up to August 25th. Everything else remains the same.

What happened last night on the Olympics? I have to play catch up? Did Michael swim? When is the next basketball game?

That is my countdown for the theatrical release of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I so can't wait! I get Harry Potter in November and Disney in December. Can life get any better!

Did you see the news of the book of tales coming out in December by JK Rowling? I have to pre-order that one!

I finished Breaking Dawn, the fourth in the Twilight trilogy. I'm excited for the movie around December. The third book of the Eragon series comes out next month, I'm excited for that.

I'm presently reading the Other Boleyn Girl. And, of course, my WDW guidebooks!

I was looking for reading for DS10. I bought him some books from a Scholastic book order but he hasn't read them yet. I guess he has been too busy being outside. Right now he is rereading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. We've been rewatching the movies too. Watched the Prisoner of Azkaban today. Darn movie mades me NOT do all the chores that needed to be done.

I've heard so many good things about the Twilight series but I'm not sure if I would like it. It's about vampires isn't it?

The final Harry Potter movie is slated for 2010 and they plan on having it be a two part movie so they can get all the good stuff in. (I'm sure it's just a way to get more money out of me! )

HBO has been playing HP and the Order of the Phoenix. I've been sucked everytime its been on. I'd like to sit down and watch all the movies again. I think they're very well done and I like seeing all the so-called serious actors on there! Like Emma Thompson and Gary Oldman!

I did not expect to like Twilight as much as I did. Its more a story about fitting in, finding your place that happens to have vampires in it. Definitely geared more for a teen girl, as it is romantic, but nothing explicit. New girl Bella moves in with her Dad, starts at a new school, and becomes involved with mysterious guy Edward, who happens to be a vampire. The first book is about them getting to know each other and why they shouldn't date, being in high school and not fitting in. I'd recommend it for a high school reader, but compared what's on TV today, I'd recommend it for anyone young reader--just so they have a book in their hands!

Its good to be distracted from reading if you're outside...enjoy the wonderful weather.

That's right, I remember M&N saying that she had visitors this week. I can't seem to pry myself away from the computer today. Great way to avoid all the reading and paperwork I'm supposed to be doing. Its really hard to convince myself to do something. Besides the Dis is so much more fun! Sorry, I'm so chatty today....must have been the late night...

Been busy lately. Unfortunately, not just enjoying my new mattress. (however it is still heavenly to sleep on) School can't start soon enough. What is it about the last 2 weeks of summer that makes kids blow a gasket???? Haven't got a moments peace.
Plus, its the 1 year anniversary of the day my Dad died. Been feeling sad and missing him a great deal.

Welcome back whgrn - Missed ya. Tried getting to your trip report and couldn't Locked up my computer. Guess there are sooooo many folks over there that they clogged up the server. You're too popular.

Racetrack - I guess I'd like to switch my due date for baby Lighttech and give momma Lighttech another week. I'll say Aug. 27 and leave the other stats the same. Watch...now she'll deliver on 8/20 my original guess. If she does, can I get partial credit for it.

No time as usual. Work has been crazy, and btw the end of the pregnancy and DS waking up once a night, I'm not getting much sleep. I suppose I should consider it training for the haze I'll be in for the next few months! (Not complaining though, I'm really getting quite excited to meet the little one officially.)
